  1. Hmmm, might have to get one. Loderunner is the one I remember most. Though, I played it on the Apple IIc or IIe... forget which we had.
  2. A fat font insert < 300 is pretty much unheard of. And the type of faded color it shows will determine pricing from there.
  3. kimerathon, you can achieve the pencil lead color with a light Cape Cod polishing of the DLC'd parts prior to reassembly if desired. It's very hard to evaluate the need for this by simply looking at pics, though. As pointed out, PVD and DLC always looks different under different lighting conditions. Very nice results, Mr. Rolli!
  4. "Young Sherlock Holmes" ? "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" ?
  5. Hi there. Just curious... How is it that one could be a "proactive member of the replica community since 1998" and just now be signing up on RWG? Are you known as something other than WikiWizKid in the non-RWG replica community? Were you "proactive" on the original forum? Tell us about Jetmid.
  6. I'm having a hard time taking this one off the wrist. It's been an ongoing problem for some time now...
  7. I like the Moon watch suggestions.
  8. Undelete, please.
  9. Uncle Sam raises import fees, here in the form of a "security surcharge". The foreign senders increase their price for shipping goods to the US to offset this cost increase. And the consumer in the US ultimately bears the burden of this increase. This is how is should work, as an indirect consumption tax in the US. I think a direct consumption tax, i.e. collecting a surcharge from the recipient like a tariff is actually less efficient. Dipping in to the general budget, a.k.a piling on more debt.... must stop.
  10. Forgot about this thread. I'm a viewer of neither. So, I dunno. The fact of the matter is that uninsured people, of which illegals comprise a healthy percentage, utilize emergency rooms for everything from routine care, to obtaining flu remedies, to actual emergencies without any ability to pay. And right now, an emergency room can not refuse care... no matter what. So guess who picks up the tab. One thing has nothing to do with the other. And "firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself." The poorest also tend to engage in self-destructive activities that others do not. But that's not even the point. The point is about bringing down healthcare costs. And what you don't know is that costs have been driven up more significantly by government involvement in healthcare than by any other factor... and by a WIDE margin. There is a very, very similar parallel to rising healthcare costs to be found in runaway college tuitions, in fact. And in the interest of time, I will leave it as an exercise for the reader to make the connection, and grasp the big picture... Skewed by the left side of the bell curve... not on the political spectrum, but on the socioeconomic spectrum. We've imported third world refugees at a tremendous rate compared to other developed countries, and that not only hurts our numbers but makes an apples to apples comparison to them impossible.
  11. Apologies if it has already been posted...
  12. The fun part is the 585 end links.
  13. Hmmmmmm..... I'm .... trying to get the joke.
  14. I'll have to read up on kettle bell workouts. I recently got a Life Fitness bike, a set of Powerblock dumbells, and an adjustable bench. I think Powerblock also has kettlebells. EDIT: Yes, Powerblock has the Kettleblock 20, 40, or 55 lb. Do you need two? Or is one good for most workouts? Time to get my ass back in shape!
  15. I've yet to try any red wine cask whiskies myself, and would definitely give it a shot!
  16. Speaking of whisky... At Costco the other day I saw a Kirkland (Costco brand name) scotch bottled by Macallan. It was a 16 yr sherry cask.... Price was $80 or so. I thought that was pretty tempting. I'd expect a 16 yr Macallan to be pushing $130ish normally.
  17. Interested. Alot of those are not commonplace. I could go broke trying these bottles, so if you have any idea of pricing I'm ready to listen!
  18. Yes, they've been around for a long time, but I though they disappeared a long time ago too. I've worked out for a long time... since high school (uhh, although I've taken a 2 year layoff recently ), and have never seen them in any gym I've ever trained in. Not once. Not in any Gold's Gym. Not in any 24 Hour Fitness. Not in any college gym. Nowhere. I'm just saying that it seems like all of a sudden they're "back" and in vogue. Hell even Jillian Michaels is marketing a set of adjustable kettle bells. 3 years ago, they were basically nowhere to be found. What gives? And if kettle bells are so great, why did they disappear for so long?
  19. OK, I'm curious about these things too. What's the deal? What do they do for me that dumbbells don't? I guess I don't get it. But I gotta have more cowbell.
  20. ETA and IWC are slightly different. Texture, I don't know. Font, yes. I've got IWC day and date wheels arriving soon. Some day, perhaps, I'll provide side by side pics.
  21. Some people were born to sing, and Orla Fallon is one of those people. If there is a heaven, and that is where I end up - as unlikely as that may be - then Orla will be there singing to me. Merry Christmas to all! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOJb6uOF05Q
  22. Catching this thread late, but hilariously, I saw one of these yesterday! It definitely caught my eye. EDIT: OK, looking back, it seems I've already commented in this thread. Heh, well, I guess my thoughts haven't changed.
  23. Nice build. Pics?
