  1. No I am not RBJ69

I have been a modder over at rep geeks and RWI for some time now.

The 177 i have is a fully modded model.

The one i built for MK08 was basically the same watch with a diferent base lume.

    It has:

high canon pinion, dsn crown, ar sapphire,

Noctilumina Blue mixed with Tritec C1 for a aqua color lume,

Eta clone asian dagger swan neck 21,8 k beat rate.

Crown guard is modded, pin is flush to cg, flushed to the case, lever has been tightened ( no floppy lever syndrome )

I will not drag this post out, as i do not want to be mistaken for a schill just posting a response.

SS pointed me toward his post.

Thanks MK08 for the kind words.

    Thumb

  2. Thank you very much!

I have been monitoring the post hoping a solution would present it self but with out a pp account my slef all i have is a credit card to send a payment electronically.

I have tried MB but my credit card company will not accept the MB charges due to the internet gambling laws in th us.

  3. Not possible to have closer pics, as it is now, the picture I showed is at least 4 times magnified from what the size of the watch is in person, so any variations you see are 4 times larger than they appear in real life. I see no purpose in showing a 10 times magnified view of the lume, when in person you can't even see details at this scale (unless your superman). You would have to step back from your monitor at least 10 feet, to see the watch at the same scale as it is seen in person, and at that distance, it looks fine...

The lume is applied one pin head drop size at a time, and anyone who has worked with Super Lume will tell you, it's very difficult to apply evenly, especially on such a large surface.

Consider the 4 times magnification of my picture, and the way lume works (you can't brush it on like paint, it's put on one drop at a time by hand), and given the area to be covered, I am very pleased with the results.

I challenge anyone to try applying lume by hand, and get anywhere near the same results as I did on this watch, the factory does it by when using a Silkscreen...think of my work as being a custom job, like a fine oil painting done by hand, instead of a run of the mill factory job.

I can apply lume very smoothly, on smaller parts, such as shown here...with a 20 times magnification.

Ask anyone who does lume, to post daylight pictures at the same magnification I do, daylight shows any and all defects, glow pictures are meaningless when it comes to quality of the lume application.

Here are daylight pictures of my work...I think they speak for themselves...

    @ kruzer

Our tea is like our beer compared to american beer, it has some bite to it...

    RG

i can speak from experince that i would not even attempt a job like the cousteau at this point.

hand application of lume requires a steady hand and a masterful touch.

    these omega dials are superb.

do you use a applicator pen or just a oiler and lots of patience?

  4. I would have to guess you are a regular on RWI, seeing that you only joined here yesterday...

Thanks for the kind words, I actually dream of 7750's and El Primero's at night, with visions of Super Lume dancing in my head.

I like to think I can hold my own with movement servicing, and also with lume applications...

Welcome aboard, I will have to click on your signature and find out about you, since you already know about me :)

    RG

    The Zigmeister,

yes i am a regular at rwi and despite past or preconceptions.

i am here to learn from masters such as yourself and Flavor Flav and anyothers whom ii have not heard of or met yet.

I have heard from fellow modders that this is the best board to get useful information and quality hand crafted parts.

Your work continues to amaze me.

  5. Just to weigh in on the quotes of mine layed against me here is the thread Date 04/17/07

    http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic....asc&start=0

and on page 5 you will find my quote after seeing the full context of the thread.

The door being permantenly slammed shut reffered to the racy avatar situation at RWI and had nothing to do with here.

the rest yes i have to accept responsibillity for cross forum comments.

and at the time was my experience.

as far as the second commewnt levied well that comment was from 10/22/06.

I was sitll fairly new to rwi and had never paid attention to who was who when i was here prior so at the time had no recollection that TwoTone was a mod.

i can see how that was taken personally by you TwoTone.

    Again i appologize for it.

If anyone who is interested this ithe whole thread and comment in context.

So there is my best defense i can offer for any past actions.

Myabe i am the idiot an i have no chance to move past my past actions.

I am assuming we are all grown ups and can do just that though.

i hope not to have to continue this any further.

I came here to find new resources of knowledge and great people who have knowledge of things i may not.

Also to learn from Great minds such as The Zigmeister.

Afteral this is the place where all the modders hangout.

To everyone else who gave me a warm welcome thank you and Hello to you also.

  6. TM you are most welcome to try your hand on this forum but you need to understand that any opinion we have of you come directly from your own words on RWI.

I am sure that if you do spend time here you will form a different outlook of our board and Admin team, however I still clearly remember you telling one of our team (offshore) to F**k Off, the same offshore's job description within our team is moderators moderator, so you see to so freely insult him was to openly insult our entire team.

So like I said hello and welcome to RWG but be careful never to rate your own opinion so highly again.

    Ken

    Well said..

    and understood.

I had hopped to come here with a new attitude a fresh outlook.

unfortunately past actions always loom over our heads.

Too offshore i appologize for any offense or actions i had in the past.

I am here at the referal of my freind and fellow modder flavor flav who said i should come back and try again.

sp please lets just move on and enjoy the forum.

i do not participate in drama i have seen enough of it lately.

So as i said lets get back to watches and past this.

  7. The Zigmeister i had hear you were the master chrono man and now i know why. :1a:

i have heard nothing but good and exceptinal reviews of your work from cvustomers and our fellow modders.

Flav was right you are the chrono master.

Is it true you fix a 7750 while eating you breakfast every morning? B)

  8. I also need to add that in the RWG admin teams defense at the time Kenberg did step in and ask it to stop after it had escal;ted to a rediculous level.

I do not think the staff or the memebers are idiots, i was baseing the quoted comment on experience and resposes of truly rude and unessacary posts I received on my FS/FT thread i had posted. There really is no need to rehash old past things, i have since changed my outlook on forum life and the need to take it any more seriously than it is.

We are here for the enjoyment of reps not to slamm one and other.

I dont plan on flaming anyone or getting into disputes, i actually try to avoid controversy at all costs.

  9. No slam intended...

    It was a simple question...

    And a fair one...

The comments are not that old...

I'm sorry your first experience here was so poor...

Hopefully this time around it's different...

    Like I said - you're welcome here...

    TT

I hope i have a long a fruitfull time and relationship with this forum as i have had with others.

Thank you for posting a lighter response.

now lets get past this a get too watches. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  10. Nor did you include Dates that was posted. nor do you bother to mention that many other members of rwi and other forums had commented on the racy avatar issue thread also not just myself.

If i am going to be held to comments based on past experience and not on what or whom i am now.

i gues i will share my experience and knowledge with memebers who care to here it.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. :black_eye:

  11. @TM

We are always glad to have folks that can contribute to the community...

I do have one question for you if I may though...

Over the last few months you made the following comments about our little home here:

This quote was made long after we changed our Avatar rule here. So you must of been referencing some other aspect of our community [that most likely still exist]...

    Care to elaborate?

Same Admin Team here as always...

Are you sure that you want to promote your business on a Forum that is run by a bunch of idiots?

Like I said, you're welcome here, I guess we're just a little confused...

    Thanks,

    TT

I had visited long ago and had not come back until now.

Previously the avatars were to racy for my taste

the memebrs tore me up one side and down the other for trying to trade or sell a rep rollie i had aquired from a trc member.

i was not a rollie fan and just wanted to sell it but i r4ceived vulgar and less than intellgable comments on it from multiple members.

But if i am just going to get slammed right off the bat by past comments then that is the exact reason i stopped coming to begin with.

My past comments were based on experience not assumtions.

But flav assuyred me the tone of the community had changed since then.

your welcome and throwing of past comments in my faCE MAY BE PROVING OTHERWISE.

I WAS HOPING TO START OFF ON A GOOD NOTE AND SAY HELLO NOT START A THREAD SLAM WAR!

I made this Stitchless Buffalo Hide strap from a vintage belt I found in a resale shop.

I decided to use a SC legend buckle to compliment the strap.

since it is so thick i needed a heavy duty buckle to compliment it.

It is approximately 7mm thick "really thick"

and a few more pics of my 177 I made for myself.

The lume pic is of a custom blend of Blue and green nocitlumina.
