Caseback says "WATER RESISTANT 120M", should be 1000m. Funny this Porsche-model seems to be a re-introduction of the 2005 Eterna "Kon Tiki Diver": http://www.ablogtoread.com/simply-named-eterna-kontiki-diver-is-amazing-and-heralds-eternas-return-to-the-usa/ The Kontiki did not get much attention back then, seems they now give it a second try with a Porsche-label (Eterna belongs to the Porsche Design group and produces all Porsche watches). For me I liked the Eterna-design better ....

There is one on the bay (in SS): check item 260732393551

The issue with the sunkec datewheel is there, but I think due to the design with the silver ring it's not really noticeable compared to other reps like the BReitlings etc

I have this baby in PVD on rubber with Asian 7750 and must say that the quality of these FM reps is outstanding, I would say on par with the latest Tag Heuer reps. Also in terms of accuracy. Was at an AD and checked the gen of this watch and must say that I could not really spot a flaw. Would be interesting what other watches come from the same factory.

Hi, check Cousins UK. They used to have the Asian 7750 and the tricompax!

Why is the AR on Breitling Navitimer reps so bad?
newton78 replied to Hooster's topic in The Breitling Area
Josh told me once that as the actual models are still selling quite well they are not planing to put any more efforts in updating. I think the only chance is that Breitling brings a complete new Navitimer-model on the market (like they with the B01 replacing the BCE). -
Besides that the box is crap and looks cheap (don't know about the gen though). The manual is from the BCE not the steelfish. I learned my lesson, never purchased any box for my reps since that.

watches held in german customs - they called - what to do
newton78 replied to simzger's topic in General Discussion
From my experience in Austria (I guess it's pretty much the same as in Germany) I would say the worst case scenario is that German custom knows already what's inside the parcel, they work closely with companies like DHL, especially on the airports. They just want you (or your friend) to properly declare and sign for the parcel. By signing you confirm that you have ordered the stuff. And then you get fined, it's not about VAT, they know it's fake. Usually they are mercyless in such matters. From my brother in law (he is lawyer and deals with such cases) I know that in case customs are involved the only way getting out without being fined is simply denying that you have ordered the stuff, giving whatever reason. I know one case where one ordered a Ed hHardy T-shirt via ebay, believing it's gen. In the end it turned out of course it was fake and the seller sent it from China. customs caught it and the guy was fined. He made the mistake saying he was not aware of it being fake (which obviously was the truth). Cruel world we live in. Well, best case scenario I guess would be that DHL really just wants you to declare it properly and then sends it out. Difficult to give proper advice here ... -
It's not only the sunken datewheel, I think also the subdial spacing is different on the new B01 compared to the modified asian 7750 usually used here.

Joshua has the watch you source, so do many of the other dealers here. The watch is of super-rep quality, only the caseback is not accurate (seems to be from the Jaques Piccard limited edition). The GMTIIc Pro Hunter also has a correct caseback!

I'm basically from the EU but living since quite some years now in Dubai. When I came here I was actually quite happy to find some cheap reps on the streets ("canal-street-quality"). Then I found RWG and based on the priceless information shared here I started ordering. Did it for months and years, never had an issue. One day, I was expecting another parcel to arrive I received a phone call from FEdEx. The guy on the phone was telling me that there is an issue with a parcel addressed to me and that I may come to their office to the airport. Now I was concerned. Did not sleep to well that night. Saw myself already in some arabic prison. So I went there. After some wating the door opened and a local arabic guy in uniform came out. He had all that golden stars on his shoulders looking like Mr. Super-General. Hell I was scared. But of course I was trying to look cool and calm, like

Hi, Franck Muller launched a special edition Conquistador to tribute the F1 night race in Singaproe last weekend. Link: http://news.watchprosite.com/show-forumpost/fi-112/pi-3281321/ti-536946/s-0/ Now that we saw quite a lot of Franck Muller's in the past month you think it's likely we'll see this one too? Basically I guess the factories should be capable of doing it, besides the special alloy they used for the case. Really like the look of it, sophisticated, sporty,...

Hi Newton, which gold souq is this you are talking about? The one in the Dubia-Mall? Thanks!
-
Hi, I live in Dubai since 3 years now (will leave in Summer and go back to EU). As Dubai is badly affected by the economic crisis it's definitely a good time for shopping here. Never forget, you are in Arabia, so you'll always have to negotiate. I just recently bought a necklace for my wife on the Gold-Souq. White gold with some brillants etc. Of course she fell in love immediately. Starting price was 32,000 Dirhams (approx. 6,400 Euros) and of course I didn't want to buy it at all. Half an hour later my wife went out with it and I got it for 2,500 Dirhams (500 Euros)! I'm serious, they stopped us three times when we were about to leave the shop. If it comes to rep watches the gold souq is the right place for you. Just take a taxi to get there. Walk through the souq one time and minimum of ten guys will ask you wether you want "copy watches and handbags". They then take you into some small apartment in the near, where they have there stuff. Don't pay more than 100 to 200 Dirhams (20 to 40 euros) for a watch, they will as for something like 700. Be aware that they only have the cheap stuff, nothing compared to what is dicussed here. Make it clear right away that you are resident not a tourist and that you know the prices! Hope that helps, Newton

What's on your "radar", and what you want replicated in 2009?
newton78 replied to By-Tor's topic in General Discussion
Hi, how about this one: Jorg Hysek Abyss Explorer Stainless Steel/Rose Gold combinations 44 mm by 18 mm rubber strap with fold over buckle I think movement could be the same as in the Breitling Blackbird! -
Hi, There is a Breitling AD in the "Mall of the Emirates", and I've been just yesterday in the Breitling-shop at the "Festival Centre Mall". Had a look at Montbrillant Legende in stainless steel (have my rep on the way). Price was 4.2 k Euros not negotiated, don't know for what it sells in the rest of the world. And you have an AD of basically every well known swiss brand in the new "Dubai Mall". Spent hours there just window shopping. Newton
