  1. You should buy from Trust dealers here for better price.

Thx for your concern, i am well aware of that. Since i joined the old rwg in 2001/2002, Ive only ever bought from dealers on the forum. I should have worded my phrase better. Are there any forum dealers living in BKK?

  2. So do you guys or the others who live in Bangkok carry the PAM 111M, PAM 177M, PAM 127(M or whatever the latest is)?

I'm inquiring about out of the box, (no extra modding done) as well as unused/ new!

A friend and me are considering buying a rep, so I'd love to know what your prices are (minus the shipping and packing fees of course, since I'd pick them up directly).

Just send me a PM! :)

    Regards,

    Martin

  3. Hello all, just seeing what is new!

I haven't looked through the forum a lot yet to be honest, but I have noticed a lot of changes, forum wise. When it comes to watches, I am not so sure... Ok let me take that back, I have noticed improvements with several reps, but where one improvement is made, something else is missed out on (probably not on purpose, or has a modding mafia come into power? :p). After ALLLLL this time, no has managed to get the PAM 111 99.99% right? Ok, forget the movements, thats an entirely different issue, but you would think that by now factories should have been able to get the visual of the PAM 111 spot on to the original. Shape, dimensions, widths, lumes, etc... Or have I just not stumbled across the right post yet? :p Either way, a big applause to all the great work thats been coming through up until now, but............ :/

Anyways just a general hello to all the old members, for those who can still remember the vomiting pumpkin! Hope all is well with you and may RWG prosper!

    Regards,

    VW

  4. To my opinion the AR on 183 should be there.

I had a real nice 183 without any AR , which i sold half a year ago , and after i got the AR on my PAM 11H i wished i still had it and have a AR

job done on it by FineDD ( caruwe here on RWG )

Here is an example of his work

Oh wow! It does look nice, but I will opt to save my money from some other watch mods!

  5. Hi VW,

Davidsen should definitely have the Rad tube as spare. Many of us sourced it from him in the past to fix our stripped stock rep crowns.

Also, I never had a rep Rad crown threads stripped, it was always the tube. It appears the tube is made of softer S/S that the crown. If you could source a gen or DSN tube and already have a rep crown - you should be sweet my friend!

    cheers,

    Babola

Oh man!!! Babola! You are my hero!

Thank you soo much! Well I have already been able to source a tube from cousinsuk!

Its on its way to me! So in that case I will just have the rep crown that I already have installed on the new tube! Excellent news!

By the way.. Would you by any chance know if the Gen Blackseal has AR? Double or onesided?

    thanks mate!

  6. Hey Luminati!

Sorry for the late reply... Actually I am trying to source a genuine or generic crown. I feel the rep crowns just don't have the same steel quality as those of the others.

KBH, I had no luck with Ruby or Davidsen. Ruby said she doesnt deal in spare parts.

If anyone knows where to source a gen PAM 183 (Blackseal) crown for me do let me know!

    Many thx!

    VW

  7. Has anyone recently ordered an IWC Ingeniur which is prone to scratches on the glass?

I have long stopped wearing this watch, but I am just curious if anyone has experienced this issue.

The INGY supposedly has sapphire and good AR out of the box, but its still got quite a few scratches in it. (Of course from my carelessness)

But I have been just as careless with my SUB rep, which supposedly has neither and still has no scratches...

I find this kind of odd... Obviously I am way past the date of being able to get a replacement, so I am may just replace it with a real ARed Sapphire glass.

I won't call out the dealer because I trust him and I have ordered pretty much all my watches from him and haven't had any bad luck, except that of my own (banging, dropping, etc... lol) But I think the IWC in this case with the supposed sapphire glass was bad luck.

Would be interesting to know your experiences.

    MArtin

  8. Hi all! :good:

I am coming a step closer with having my UPO repaired.. I have been able to source all the parts.. I will stick with ordering a new rep dial rather than a gen (too expensive for me, I can live with the wrong Omega symbol)

I will most likely let Domineco have a go at it! Since I can send the watch from Austria to Germany and back, I will spare myself from all the customs mumbo jumbo.

My only question, and its been a little tricky for me figure out from posts...

Has the UPO changed considerably since 2006/2007? I purchased mine around that time, I can't exactly remember the date, but would this version accept mods? I will replace it with generic tube, bezel and genuine crown... The rest should not matter anyways (rep dial, relume). I had purchased that watch from PTSwiss if that helps anyone?

I unfortunately can't get any pics of the watch as I have already given it to a relative to take back to Austria so he can send it off.

Anyways, any help would be very much appreciated!

    Regards,

    VWatch

  9. Hey no problem, I have also thought about not buying reps anymore. But who am I kidding, I love this hobby and this community. :thumbsupsmileyanim: I have also been pretty lucky with my reps. Except for a few minor Issues they are all running well, cant ask for more than that. I think It's a good Idea to look at the bottom line far as fixin or replacing your PO. Hope you stick around. Zig Is a nice guy, maybe a nice sincere private message to him will make things right, good luck and keep us posted. :drinks: Mike

You know I am surprised that I have been able to last this long since I have last bought a rep... That was um, 2 to 3 years ago! Pretty long compared to some members here if you ask me! The mistake I made was buy too many too fast and then let them go bad too fast... So now I have a bunch of reps that all have a problem. Most being with the crown and threading being worn out. This is one thing I have always been paranoid about, but I guess you can't avoid. Luckily my gen Oris and Speedmaster don't have crowns which need to be screwed in!

Unfortunately The Zigmeister's PM is switched off, but I hope he will accept my apology on this post! So The Zigmeister, again... I am very sorry for making you feel that way. I hope you can forgive me!

I think I will start with the easiest repair.. My PAM 183... I have already started a topic in the PAM section on where I can find a genuine or generic crown and tube..

    Regards,

    Martin

  10. Hello all!

I recently was introduced to Julesborel and Cousinsuk, unfortunately they don't have much or anything in regards to Panerai.

Anyone know where I can get a genuine or generic Panerai 183 tubes, crowns and Oring. I believe I can use the Oring already on the watch perhaps.

Problem is that the threading on my PAM 183 crown has been worn down! It wont screw back in so I would like to replace it. Would be a shame to throw away the watch. Its already got a lume job and servicing under it!

I could of course replace it with another rep crown and tube, but whats the point, then I'd have to replace them again after a few years...

I tried searching for some stuff here, but really didnt have any luck with it! :S

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Martin

  11. Hahaha yes that is me, you are right! Generally my attitude towards reps has died down since the old RWG days...

And I probably would have not considered a new rep, had my UPO not gone on a date with the marble floor. So I am trying to compensate for the loss! :p

I am trying to put together a list of all the spare parts I will need to order and parts I would like to add, (Genuine vs Generic) and if I EVEN manage that.. Then I will run it by Domenico and see what the total damage would be... Should it be too expensive for me, then i will just go for a new rep and perhaps auction this one for spare parts with all the winnings going to RWG.

Regarding Zigmeister.. I dont think he will be willing to take my business anymore.... So I'll let that be.

Anyways it was nice to hear from you Maxman!

  12. Yes I've heard about domenico, never had anything done by him though. I also heard Domenico doesn't speak any english so you have to get your emails translated into german by someone on the forum (at least i think that's what i heard). Francisco is the only modder i know that charges less than 100usd for a full service. He's also one of the most creative watch-makers I know. I have another watch-maker here in Madrid that's also very good but charges 150euros for a full service on a Asian7750. I use both francisco and my other guy, at least we're not paying 400-500 bucks for authorized dealers to service our watches like the gen owners!!

Ahh good to know! Yes I will definitely get in touch with Francisco to see what he can do for me! First I have to source the parts for my UPO!

    Thanks again!
