  1. Should be an easy one. doesn't look all that special. I am sure if they do something will be all messed up like the date wheel will be in white, or have pink numbers or some thing silly like that.
  2. That's great... at least they are tracking it as it moves around.
  3. Don't these case backs have something like a letter followed by some numbers / more numbers somewhere on them. I had thought all of the Panerai models had something like that on them. This ones doesn't appear to have that anywhere on it. Makes me think it is fake but I don't know anything at all about them.
  4. Looks like lots of fun... I like the snow just don't like the work it creates and the cold weather lol. some left over snow more and snow in the fall looks so nice another I don't have any from the big ones online.
  5. Took my Graham to Las Vegas went through without problem in my laptop bag. Left from DIA to LAS went through x-ray machines in each airport without problems... the two laptops, two DSLR cameras, external drives, several CF cards, 5 canon battery backs, plus three in the cameras, and my ipod all made it through without a problem. Just I took up a bunch of those silly plastic bins. one for the shoes, one for each laptop, cameras in one, laptop bag in one...
  6. I assume removing the movement could be easy... getting it all back together in working order might pose a bigger problem lol. I am sure a lot of reading and picking up some tools and it could be done. and aren't those cheif runs hard as heck to get into?
  7. Came across this watch while looking for information on what the flyback movement is in the panerai watches. Looks like a nice looking piece. Doubt it would ever be made as a rep at least not in a good way lol. http://www.thewatchquote.com/Shooting-of-the-MB-F-HM3-Horological-Machine-N-3-Sidewinder-watch-No_7506.htm
  8. I just don't get the Hublot watches. I really don't know what the deal is with them and can't see paying the huge prices they are asking in the rep and gen markets. I like the graham but I don't know if I would own more then one or two they are just a large dial casual wear watch as I see it. I like the Frank Muller crazy hours just because of the movement don't know if I would really like the style of it but the movement is really interesting with the jumping hour.
  9. Living in the US I can say I have never heard of anyone stopping me from carrying coins in any shape doesn't matter if they are in a bag, jar, roll or loose in my pockets. If you are going through the airport or courthouse or perhaps any place that has a metal detector you might want to use something else or keep a spare wrap because I could see you being asked to unwrap them to show they aren't a weapon. But after you make it past security just wrap them again. And if you had a feeling someone was going to hassle you just pick up a roll of new coins from the bank. That way you just claim to be a collector of coins and you are on your way and you shouldn't be asked to change them in for bills either. Personally I would just avoid going around places where I would need to pack something like that lol.
  10. Looks great. I would love it if the dial had some lume on it. I would have to send it off to get taken care of.
  11. This is a good show. I have only watched a few episodes but liked all of the ones I have seen. Some good information in each one. However I would still stop by here for help on spotting a fake lol even if I was buying one from a pawn shop lol. I haven't had any of my reps leak on me. I granted I don't go around dunking them in water but I wash my hands a ton. Never had a problem other than the inside of the band needing to be dried off occasionally.
  12. yeah... or just buy a cheap netbook which is my plan.
  13. couldn't you just use it to access the other computer with a remote connection... problem resolved lol.
  14. I love my 40d. I have been toying with the idea of picking up a 50d since I can trade in my original DRebel and pick it up for something like 600 or the 50d kit for 800. Personally if you don't have money invested in lenses go out and try the cameras and decide on what ones you like and find easy to navigate around in the menus. Both Nikon and Canon would be great brands. 40d. original digital rebel.
  15. The Leonardo is a nice looking strap.
  16. I wore the SOSF in to a store spaced it out and wanted to look at picking up a colt or genuine SOSF. I was actually picking up a pen a the store next door the the watch dealer and when I went in I just took off the rep and waited till I got back out to put it back on.
  17. Is the height difference really just due to the case back? I imagine it is because of the movement that is used in the rep. Looks like the dial could use a little more work and the date wheel looks a little off but for me I wouldn't really notice either of those unless I had it side by side. The logo P is one that could be an easy tell when looking at the watch but I don't suspect anyone would notice that unless actually trying to pass it off lol. And the numbers in the subdials looks like the ink is a little more pronounced on the genuine but that could just be per model I don't know if they are all that way or not. I really like this watch. Looks great.

    Wow

I like that it was not only taken into a dealer but that someone knowing it was a replica asked said dealer to look at it... Guess if the dealer took it it wouldn't be a big deal lol.
  19. Was actually pretty reasonable at least I thought it was. If you happen to come across another white face with the green let me know lol.
  20. How was it? Any photographs?
  21. Very cool watch I loved the green and white dial.
