I may be wrong, but isn't this a 6239? I thought the 6241 was differentiated from the 6239 and defined by the acrylic bezel... Just asking for my own education. Regardless of model number, it's a fabulous looking watch!

You see malicious intent where there is none. This thread is about modded Rolex chronographs and so far that's all I see here.
Maybe you'd be better off registering at http://www.socialanxietysupport.com/forum/f35/
Also concerned that a guy with 7 posts and using his email as username could come here and judge members. The only intent would be to encourage....backdoor sales. I don't believe it's because you are dumb. You are obviously the guy that knows it all.
Good luck here Sir, and welcome!
My, aren't we a sensitive Nancy! I think it's you who sees malicious intent where there was none... it was a JOKE sir, but obviously you've taken it personally, which speaks far more to your own issues than any I might harbor. But fear not, I'll restrict myself to the other RWG, where members don't get completely sideways when someone makes a slightly salacious comment meant only to elicit a chuckle, not impugn such a "highly esteemed community member" as you so righteously judge yourself to be. It's just a hobby, try to remember that.

Somehow this thread seems to have ventured into "My Rolex collection is bigger than your Rolex collection" territory.
Next there will be inch measurements...

Forgot to include these-- a couple more very interesting articles on the PN dials:

It's likely the folklore and controversy surrounding the "exotic dial" Daytonas will only continue to grow over time...

Here's a great article on the "Paul Newman", aka "exotic" Daytona dials.
https://www.revolution.watch/paul-newman-daytona-101/
It's well known that when these dials were first released, they were very unpopular-- many of the early Daytonas with the exotic dials sat on the shelves of ADs for years, even decades without being sold. In some cases, the watches were actually refitted with the more "standard" dials.
Unlike today, where Rolex controls and manufactures literally every single piece that is used in their watches, at the time these Daytona reference series were produced, Singer was the principal supplier of dials for Rolex watches. There is at least some evidence to suggest that many more of these "exotic" dials were produced by Singer than were ever used by Rolex, thus the potential for one to be able to find an exotic dial that wasn't used on a production watch. These are still rarities however, and obviously, the vast majority of "genuine" exotic dials are fakes-- some are simply much better than others.

Ha ha, thanks for the clarification-- just wanted to make sure I had it right, as it's hard enough for me to keep the jumbled information in my head in any kind of order, lol.
