  1. I have a 100% gen except for the case 1680, and the case is GREAT, however, once a Rolex guru (The 3rd who opened the case) saw the inside of the case, they said it was "too perfect" and that the tolerances around the movement were too tight, or that the case was too "thick". It is a Vietnam case. Who here knows of or can take this case and make it as perfect as possible inside, with some proper "aging" on the outside?

  2. Quick question:

It is time to start playing in the water and I don't like to swim in gens and don't want to trash my Pelagos. Of all of my reps, this seems to be the highest rating from what I read somewhere, but was wondering what you guys think about the water resistance of the 2 line ZF Tudor Pelagos?

Thanks in advance for the wealth of info on this board!

  3. Now, after SEVERAL days, I was just informed that my watch wasn't in stock, even though they charged my card SEVERAL days ago. So..... I have paid, have no watch, and nothing on the way.

  4. Hello everyone. I just picked up a nice little Tudor 79260 and it was sold to me with the understanding that it had a crystal and insert replacment. Well, as you can see, the bezel is totally incorrect. I have found the correct insert, but the bezel confuses me. It appears to NOT have the bezel at all. I am sure there are other compatible bezels for other Tudors and Rolexes, but need some help in sourcing or knowing WHICH bezel to get. ???10eee691dbed11a4cb59c7cb92628d19.jpga08067dc348e844ed01838b195f6e462.jpg

Sorry for the pic quality. I am multitasking. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

  5. Ok, I want to see who shares in this thought process?

I don't like to own Rolex, Breitling, and Omega reps, rather prefer gens. I have a few, but once again, I just prefer gens on these brands.

But with PAMS, it's different for me. With so many incredibly nice reps/Frankens of PAMS, I almost PREFER the idea of having frankens. I own about 12 Franken PAMS right now, and one gen, and really could take it or leave it. A beautiful Pratt made vintage PAM or a vintage PAM with a nice Cortebert movement just makes me drool with a nice strap. The idea of what a piece of the same caliber of one of these as a gen costs is not only insane, but most would never consider wearing it. Where, as it is, I can choose a different PAM framken to match wardrobe with ease and not regret wearing them wherever.

I am just wondering how many others share in this thought process? Rep Rolex = a little Cheesy, yet Franken PAM = cool custom watch? Is this an indicator of our perceived quality of the brand itself?
