  1. Well on the post itself, I pointed out the date mag...
  2. Someone just attempted to sell a fake 104 on Paneristi forum. Well done. Asking price $4000. Yeah right. Complete BS. Nice try.... hope this guy gets it.
  3. I just got myself a seawater proof calf Dirk strap a few weeks ago. Tough and good quality strap. Check the accessories forum of VP and Paneristi and see if you can find it. Chances are the strap you are looking for might be listed there... or maybe veni could point you in the right direction. Here are the links: Paneristi: http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/ VP: http://www.network54.com/Forum/282106/ Good luck!
  4. wicked pics.... now seriously considering the 212..
  5. That move was very wise. Bringing a (lousy) rep into a AD and demanded to view a gen rolex. I wouldn't even dream of doing that.
  6. What were they thinking posting reps in a gen. forum... really I don't understand. They are WIS, dude.... WIS.
  7. On VP, the dial for 036 shows T Swiss T, and then again, if I recall correctly, I remember seeing a Paneristi posting his 036 with L Swiss L. Hmm.... I am not too well versed with this model to give a valid input. From VP Reference model section (PAM 036):
  8. I have seen this before somewhere.... can't remember but def. a cool watch!
  9. Richard, what are your thoughts on the watch? Higher than expected or below? Haven't really got a review from you. Just curious really. Nice wrist shot there! Dirk Pitt: Do post a review when you have received it.
  10. What I have posted in the other thread: Actually 187 is not as big as you think it is. Actually it is kinda big not overly huge. At least not to the extent that you look as if you are wearing a clock on your hand. At least imo. With the construction, the bezel takes up quite a bit of space, and with the sunken sloping 3-D dial, the actual dial itself is smaller in diameter compared to 1950. The sheer size of the watch is due to the thickness. It is one thick mofo. One thing I am worried about is the movement. Very unstable. I know of at least one rep 187 that has begun displaying problems. This rep is simply amazing. I can preach enough how good it is but you have to have it in your hands to appreciate it. Save up and get one! It is well worth it, really! I have actually done a comparison side by side with a gen. - The gen actually looked smaller than the rep, believe it or not! But still the same size (I have measured them) - The sunken subdials is more pronounced in the rep than the gen! Surprise..surprise.. - The markers on the subdials are less pronounced as well in terms of the imprints. - The bezel markers does not stick out as much in height compared to the rep. - The illume markers' width is thinner in the gen but the illume itself is thicker in height. - The blue imprint of 1000 is darker and more prominent in the gen. - The blu-ish AR is more visible in the rep. - The crown guard of the gen is slightly larger than the rep. - The chrono pushers screws do not screw all the way in on the gen, giving it a cleaner look without displaying the threads. - The rubber strap on the gen is of good quality. I was amazed by the texture of the rubber strap! - Overall, the rep looks like a badder, rawer version of the gen. 187. That is how I feel about it when I put them side by side. Not overly obvious but given that I have spent 14257495060684hrs looking at this watch, I should know! I will prob take a photo comparison thingie when I have the time. Been too busy these days. Seriously, if anyone of you ever consider buying one, stop considering. Just get it! I know it is very pricey but this is by far the best rep I have ever had. My brother has the same watch and he vouch the same. Ah well, I wish more people has this rep so we could share the joy of appreciating the details of this watch.

  12. Nice comparison!! The gen def. look sharper.. and I love those rubber straps!
  13. When I at home, I tend to wear two watches...heh. (Sorry for the bad pics... quick and hasty snap shots) Left Wrist: PAM 187 never seem to leave my wrist. All other watches seemed so damn small now. I am addicted to huge watches that are too big for my wrist. Says my local watchmaker to my 44mm Daylight. Wonder what he will say to this tuna can. Right Wrist: Newly acquired no-longer-in-production Ken Trading's GWI Pilot with 4 working subdials (Year, Month, 24hr, Date). Cool 47mm. Loving it to bits but still can't seem to give 187 up to wear this.....
  14. Fitch, that is an awesome looking Sinn! What are the dimensions and specs if ya dun mind....
  15. 20 yet?? Please count me in. I am very interested. Thanks!!
  16. ... because you want to make sure that you are getting the real deal?? If I were to secure a good deal, I dont see the reason not to fork out a few hundred to make sure the transaction runs smoothly and if it means paying for a flight ticket, I would do it. Rather lose a few hundred than a few thousands.
  17. Wicked pic! I have been looking for really big watches ever since I got my 47mm Panerai 187. Even 44mm seems too small for me unless they are really thick in width. When I first saw Josh posted the white version of the Super Avenger, I was all over it until I saw that it was a quartz. Damn, I would love to get it but I cant live with the fact that it is a quartz. Likewise for the 48mm AP quartz watch. *Sigh*
  18. Chronus, he was not offering the strap for sale here. If he did, the price would be significantly lower since it is not a genuine strap.
  19. WOW! A wicked and thorough review By-Tor! Never knew that much about Breitling. Thanks for the post! It was an awesome read!
  20. Happy birthday guys! Have a good one!
  21. On the other hand, it could very well be ANYONE who is using his pics and try to sell it to me. So it might and might not be him. I just want to make that sure in this post. I might have gone over-board by fingerpointing directly at him in in initial post but that was how it came to me when I first saw the pic in my email. If I have wronged the poor fellow, my most sincere apologies. All these scams for the past 2 months is taking the toll on my puny brain. And the last thing I want is to have another of our member here or anywhere else get scammed.
