I just bought a gen 176! I really wanted a 177... but then i just pulled the trigger on a nice 176 with both the diver strap and OEM croc strap.

The more I look at the rep vs gen pictures, the more I think they made an amazing job, this rep is near perfect. IMO better replicated than the steelfish which had more obvious flaws.

Im a big fan of this new model. I really can't wait for a good review.

Simple question: Who has a nice quality boxset for panerai? Anything better than what the cartel offers?

The Zigmeister told me he tried to remove it but he's no able to get the bezel off...

Anybody knows a trick?

I juts found out that The Zigmeister will make me a pearl support on his lathe + relume the whole thing and it should be very easy.

Unfortunately a gen bezel is not an option. Breitling bezels use the outer screws to attach, while the reps are press fitted on to the case. Your only options are to fabricate your own pearl, or order a new case.

Fabricating a new pearl is not exactly an easy task. anybody in Canada could help?

i have lost the pearl on the bezel of my sosf. For some reason, it just fell off without me knowing. The bezel is intact, but the pearl is missing.

Now it could be the time to improve that pearl which was a bit weak imo.

Anyone knows who could repair that? (idealy in canada, and could anyone please pm me the contact info?).

Josh didnt reply to me to see if they have these pieces in stock. Is the pearl a separate piece or what?

Finally, anybody know if i could just switch (easily) the complete bezel with a gen one, and where can i get this gen?

Can someone explain me about the blue ''officine panerai'' engraving on all see through caseback models?

Why is it so inacurate?

Does the pre-v models had these fat blue letters? (wrong font, wrong color ?)

Does it bother you?

It just screams fake to me and its the only thing preventing me from buying, but im a fan of those saphire casebacks.

Obviously, if i get a panerai, some people will have a look at it...

Is it me or the rep pearl stand out more than on the gen? The lume part looks wider. Maybe its not in person but on picture i can always spot the gen just by looking at the pearl... even on the super-ultimage-mega rep.

That's unacceptable for $360, I'd do a chargeback if I were you. Just file an "item not as described" complaint and you should have your money back in a couple days, then send that "watch" back using the cheapest courier service you can find. It seems to be a big no-no here, but I don't understand why everyone is trying so hard to protect those scamming clowns who are for the most part selling us junk that's $10 a bucket in Guangzhou. $5 "swiss eta" clone asian movements, "synthetic sapphire" mineral glass, "outstanding lume" that fades in a minute, "1:1 cases made from gen sample" 100x100px JPG on manufacturer's site, anyone? Wake the hell up, people!

I just ordered a rep rubber strap at 68$ us from one of the dealers (since my AD was out of stock for 2 months and charging 95$ us)

I ordered it BLUE.

Now i saw a few black rubber straps one blue face and i think it looks amazing as well. Damn those sosf have so many combos possibilities that its a rough time to decide which one to choose.

Also, is the actual version on the strap good? I know the buckle is not shinny and its engraved, but I heard its supposed to be an old version. Will it be a big giveaway on such a nice and well done rep? I want quality cause im going diving in 2 weeks.
