  1. Corgi wins this thread because he expressed my sentiments about Hublot to the T.
  2. I have to agree with the power reserve comment. Mine is about six hours if I am lucky
  3. You are assuming that rep makers use any logic in what they choose to produce. We still can't get a 1:1 Submariner, but I have seen reps of low end Seiko and Citizen watches.
  4. I was being vague as I did not wish to advertise for a given site. Usually when a new watch like this is available we hear about it from several sources.
  5. I just got an e-mail about a 1:1 AP ROO chrono coming soon. Supposed to be 1:1 with seconds at 12, anyone know whether or not it is accurate or just more BS?
  6. Lello, I thought I was in line for a Breitling but I guess I did not make the cut this time. Could you kindly remember to put me in line for two next time? Thanks
  7. Not too bad. I was really worried about that. It is a very nice Mario Paci strap. I cleaned it with some two step Zymol leather cleaner and conditioner that I use on my car seats and so far it is holding up nicely and smells more of the cleaner than a nasty moldy smell. Once again, thank you all for your kind words. It proves that this site is more than just a discussion forum, but a family.
  8. I think this option is better turned on and I will explain why. Let's say that I put up a sale ad for a chronograph and said that it had a Swiss 7750 in it and sold it for a high price. Then once payment clears I sent out a watch with an A7750 instead of the swiss and changed the post. When the person who I cheated was to receive the watch they could check the post and it would appear that I was an honest seller rather than show proof that the post was edited. Just my two cents, but I like it on.
  9. Thanks for your kind words, but it is like I told the Mrs., it is just stuff. Life goes on.
  10. Hi all! I have an old Eddie Lee 1950 that has been though hell and is still ticking. I have worn this watch for quite a while until a couple of months ago I threw it in a drawer and forgot about it as I moved on to other watches. I live in the midwest and we are currently going through some pretty heavy flooding. The whole first floor of my house was flooded while I was away and it ruined everything. My TV, entertainment system, furniture, all gone. We had a cleaning crew in the other day and as they were carting out some of my furniture my EL Fiddy fell out. This thing had been underwater in what I can only describe as brown muck for two or three days. I washed it off, set the time and wound it up expecting the worst. That was two days ago and it is still ticking. I know Panerai is supposed to be a dive watch but I was always skeptical of reps. My EL Fiddy is now my new fave again because it is a survivor. Now if only the house did not smell so bad....
  11. This tread is a trainwreck. Off topic, I am wearing a Red 12 strap as I type and love the damn thing.
  12. Thank you for breaking the price barrier! I was going to suggest a Citizen Eco Drive Skyhawk. I have one, it is a solar powered quartz. Updates time via radio frequency from the Naval time server in Colorado. Also can read from time servers in the EU and Japan when overseas. Has a slide rule. It is built like a brick craphouse.

    Vague enough for everybody?
  14. Stan should fix that damn case back. Why it says Titanium I have no idea.
  15. The best part is that the guy went to Rolex Beverly Hills at first. I bet they sterilized the store after he left because a "dirty" watch had been there. If a store sells Gaytonas, there is a good chance they would not be much on after sales service.
  16. I give it a week before they open a Starbucks there.
  17. I hate Rollies. I just bought one. I hate all of you. You guys are the reason that I can't get married. No woman would let me do stuff like this...
  18. The Breitling is an awful replication. Maybe a nice watch, I don't know. But not close to gen
  19. I had a gen Omega that became magnetized in shipping, it gained nine minutes every hour! Take it to a watch smith, they most likely will not charge to attempt to de-mag it. That is what I did and it kicked out fine.
  20. My honey one is a LOT lighter. I wondered if I got one that was not dyed long enough.
  21. I have three gen Seamasters and a gen Speedmaster. If I could find a rep that could compare I would sell the gens and pocket the coin. All the reps I have felt had flaws that stood out when wearing, they looked different, they felt different, etc.
  22. I was gonna say that! I don't agree with using elephant for strap material however, my bald eagle strap is much more comfortable and beautiful! !
  23. What color is that one? I have one honey and one cigar. Is that the brown?
  24. Two weeks ago I was all about buying for the cheapest price. Since then I have received a used watch, a watch that was supposed to have an ETA but did not, and an ugly non working BCE. And one of those three came from a cartel dealer. I am going to have to give Ruby a chance.
