  1. Thanks for the responses guys. Much appreciated. As for pricing, calf and buffalo should be €85, ostrich €120 and alligator €200.

I am well aware of the asian strapmakers at cheap prices. Yet, those leathers are not sourced in France or Italy, often not the best part of the hide is being used, mostly machined instead of hand stitched etc. There are exceptions but overall i feel the leather quality is way below the top quality available from European tanneries.
I mainly started these because for example straps from Hodinkee or Bulang (both from Menicucci) are overpriced vs their quality. They look cool, don't get me wrong but the quality is not what I'd expect at that price point.
I'll think it through very well. If I'm selling it will be in small quantities, it's not my daily job and I like the fact that they're not widely available.

This is a Crown & Buckle strap and it certainly isn't Asian. They are made in Florida using Horween leather sourced from Chicago. Nice try though.

This is a great quality strap I purchased from crown and caliber. It is better than $150 straps that I've purchased in the past. Cost only $30! Came with an extra loop that I took off due to having a large wrist and using the second to last hole. Didn't need it.

  3. No, but I have read many good things about Tony Chen in different blogs as well as here. He is with noobwatch.com and although not a TD now I think his old site hontwatch was. I will let you guys know how it goes and perhaps he can make the TD list. The more the merrier. I also e-mailed him that if he did right I will help him out by giving him props. In this game it only takes one bad experience to ruin you and so far thats all i found is one bad experience so I am guessing he is reputable. IMO

  4. Yes, I ordered it from Tony Chen. I just know the sa3135 will crap out on me and even if it doesn't I plan on changing out the movement in time. It would be nice to know for sure that everything fits. I know the oem stem tube and crown will fit the Yuki and my plans are to fit the Yuki with gen crown stem and hands and have it serviced and installed all at the same time so I just want to make sure my birds are lined up and I am progressing in the right direction. So much information on the internets but some seems dated and I know there has been recent changes. Any and all information is appreciated. THX

  5. I am very new to the rep watch game but I have ordered my first watch from TC. It is a NOOB V6S SA3135 movement DSSD Blue-Dial. I know that the movement is not the greatest but I plan on getting it serviced right away and seeing how long it last. When or if it craps out on me I wanted to go with a Yuki. In the meantime, I will be combing the internets for gen hands and other parts to add to the beauty and create my own lovely franken. Is my thinking correct? Can I put a Yuki in this watch case? What parts should I be looking for when I make this swap? Is the tube and crown from a gen gonna fit the Yuki and the SA3135 or just the Yuki? Sorry for all the questions but all the information I found seems dated. Thanks in advance.
