  1. A fake bag might lead to an unfortunate accident involving "craytonic jr.", scissors, and my girlfriend that would leave me none to happy. On the other hand, rep watches are just fine for me thankfully! I can't tell the difference in the bags. She seems to be able to smell it or something. Witchcraft.
  2. I HATE handbags. My girlfriend wanted a $1,700 one for her birthday!!! It was a chanel one; I thought it looked cheap. I ended up getting a 1 carat diamond pendant instead. Cost a bit more, but I got a good deal and at least it theoretically has some value (I understand diamonds are a horrible investment, but better than a handbag) and at least can be worn forever - the bag would be in the heap after 6 months! I refuse to pay for them. At least a watch or jewelry can be passed on or sold if the world goes to [censored].
  3. Twas you I was referring you Moment of nolstalga for babelfish - I passed college spanish because of it!
  4. I used http://babelfish.altavista.com/ back in the day... I would bet google has something better though.
  5. I think narikaa had something similar but not swiss.
  6. 111h; I love panerai but think they are way over priced & could never justify the $ for a real one.
  7. He means the crown guards (things around the winder). On reps they are always too fat.
  8. Ok, I penned a longer response but removed it. The appeal is "less in the wrong direction than the other guy."
  9. Could we do a poll on those 3 with the stipulation that people only vote if they intend to buy?
  10. Was just a thought; I am free-riding on this one too so I can't really say much. My vote is still for the vintage omega dive watch - the "real" ones you see for sale always have issues. It is also a popular watch from a popular brand so Jay would likely make his money back.
  11. Ok it is somewhat apparent you really want the Seahawk. I am assuming you buy the replicas you sell here in quantity (i.e. the asian sub) from some "replica factory"; although I could be wrong and there may be more one or more persons between you and the factory in the supply chain (I really have no idea). Given your level of interest in this particular one couldn't you just use what connections you have up the stream to get it made? I'm sure you will go off on some rant against me for asking; but given that you are a "dealer" here as well it seems like a valid suggestion...
  12. Most actual conservatives, myself included, do not consider President Bush a conservative. Did we vote for him? Yes. We realize we live in a less than perfect world and will take what we consider the lesser of 2 evils.
  13. My girlfrind is a bag-addict (real only sadly). Marc Jacobs is the one she always go back to. After that - Chanel, Todd's, etc. It is scary how good she is at spotting fake ones; much better than I am at watches (but to be fair, the fakes bags are easier to spot and bigger).
  14. #2 without a question. At some point in life you realize there are certain things that other can do better, faster, at less cost, and with minimal personal headache that you can yourself - I will pay the pro every time from $ doing the exact same specilization for others.
  15. Wow it is like the chamber Darth Vader sleeps in. I want one.
  16. He said this one is "with out water"...? Never seen this type of tester. But, I don't spend much time in places where they would be.
  17. I don't think I would wear a fake watch to a company sponsored event...
  18. I have always wanted a good Tag Monaco Steve McQueen... don't think it can happen with those movements though
  19. All I can think of is that scene in fight club at the beginning where he goes to the "testicular cancer" men's support group...
  20. I vote vintage omega seamaster 300 as well.
