  1. I remember seeing an all green lime Rolex with matching strap from a Rolex service centre many years ago and it really made an impression on me. The lime green dial looked refreshing and cool!

Im toying with the idea of ordering one and wondered if anyone has a green dialed Rolex in their collection that they could post pics of?

    Thanks

Do you mean a Sub LV?

  2. I cant believe you guys made it through almost two pages without mentioning THE greatest live album.

I woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand, whose wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?. One of the all time classic lines. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Ah! Frampton with hair. I remember those days. Saw him in concert in 70 something. Great concert. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  3. Now that definately was the good ole times. I long for the days when I use to eat lead paint chips that were flaking off of our walls like they were potato chips. I'm sure this tic I've developed recently has nothing to do with that. :victory:

  4. You can take Madonna back as a sign of goodwill. Please ...

If we have to take people from The Americas, can't we have Salma Hayek?

No, please keep Madonna, I don't think we could take her back with her bad take on a british accent.. You can have Salma, but not Jessica Alba. Back to the Beckhams. I have no doubt that Soccer is growing, but Football is still king. Spice Girls reunion, well, will see how that goes. Unfortunately, in a star struck atmosphere of America, the Beckham's will be a sensation, but they will eventually fade when something bigger comes along, which will be hopefully soon. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Like I said earlier, I do love my World Cup. :victory:

  5. Bad news for the Beckhams', for they are about to find out that most Americans don't give a damn about Soccer or the Spice Girls. For all of the soccer fans out there, don't get me wrong, I love my World Cup, but here in the states, American football is king, and the Spice Girls are yesterday's news..

  6. A Sci-Fi show that didn't seem to be very realistic, but turned out to be one of the best, and shortest lived sci-fi series ever is Firefly. If I remember correctly, the opening scene was the crew blowing the hatch off a derelict ship they were salvaging and the explosion was silent.

Probably showing my age here, but does anyone remember the sci-fi series UFO?

  7. O.K., a lttle background first. I have a Sub LV from Josh that I dropped, obviously by accident. Pick it up, and the pearl is missing, and I can't find anywhere, and the dial had a dent on it. Order a replacement one for it on watchmaterial.com. It arrives friday. THe pearl needed to be glued into the dial. No big deal, or so I thought. I had the pearl in some tweezers and was applying super glue, when I hit my hand and the pearl came out of the tweezers. It hits the counter top, and bounces into the sink and down the drain. I was sickened, but it was gone. In hindsight, I guess it wasn't the best place to work, but it's done. Now, I don't want to spend another $31 with shipping for anothe dial and pearl. I don't see where watchmaterial carries just pearls. I'm afraid this is my only option to order another dial, hopefully not. Where in the world can I find a replacement pearl to fit this dial? I've got a bad feeling I'm screwed, so I'm hoping someone with more experience can 'save the day here' for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. THanks!!!!! :bicycle:

  8. THat's great! I've got 3000 more Chuck Norris Facts where those came from. So I'll leave you with another favorite of mine before I go. Just can't get enough of Chuck. Try www.chucknorrisfacts.com O.K., drum roll please!

Chuck Norris can jump start a car using jumper cables attached to his nimples.

For all the rest of you ordinary people out there, please don't try this at home. Only Chuck could pull this off. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  9. Delta Force....they're good in the movies....'speshully wi' Chuck or Steven.....BTW....wasn't he in that famous movie..."On Wings We Fly".....starring Walter Pidgeon.....Anna Neagle......and Steven Seagull......:D

I know you are not making fun of Chuck Norris!! You force me to do this. I'll leave you with a few Chuck Norris Facts to get your head right, because obviously, you don't show enough respect to this great American icon. Here's just a few :whistling::thumbsupsmileyanim:

    1. The cheif export of Chuck Norris is Pain.

    2. When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.

    3. Chuck Norris has two speeds, Walk and Kill.

    4. Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademark names for his left and right legs.

    5. Chuck Norris can lead a horse to water, and make him drink!

And finally my two favorites, and most appropriate for this thread and this forum:

    1. Remember the Soviet Union? They decided to give up after watching a Delta Force Marathon on Satellite TV.

    AND FINALLY,

    2. CHUCK NORRIS DOESN'T WEAR A WATCH! WHY YOU ASK? BECAUSE HE DECIDES WHAT TIME IT IS!

Now, maybe you've got your head right!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Mnnnnn i remember a few opps they would rather we all forget.

Well two come to mind right now, but that's look at the bigger picture on those. If you are thinking of the mission in the desert of Iran. I blame the politicians and senior staff for very poor planning and timing. If you are thinking about the one in Somalia, I think that was a heroic and unfortunate stand. Also, one must consider that three Delta force guys, pinned down, took out maybe over a hundred skinnies until they ran out of ammo.

  11. In all seriousness, since this is a purely opinion based thread, I would have to say the Delta Force operators would have to be the best, that is, if we are sticking to the topic of the best special forces/ops. This group is made up of the best of the best from U.S.N. Seals, Army Rangers, Marine Recon, USAF, and Army Special Forces. These guys are the cream that has risen to the top of their respected units. I would still fear having to face the forces of the Ugandan Liberation Front when machete to machete combat is concerned. These guys weild a mean blade. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  12. I am an avid sailor, and enjoy the Cup races quite a lot.

I have found that the best way to watch almost any sporting event these days is to TIVO it, and then watch the show on the up speed setting. It turns a slow event like sailing into a much more up tempo affair. You can watch a 2 hour race in about 10 minutes. Much more exciting.

By the way, that AP cup watch is a beautiful thing.

That's how I watch Golf. Tivo makes golf a lot more fun to watch. I love to sail myself, but I'm on a little 16 foot Hobie Cat. It's very relaxing and peaceful, that is, until a thunderstorm appears out of nowhere.

  13. http://www.perfectclones88.com/rlss10004-b...362-p-1060.html

The hour markers are the same size as the standard 16610 Submariner. The LV has the larger hour markers.

The pearl is what you get- it ain't bad, but it isn't perfect, as is the case with 95% of the rep pearls.

This is what we call a fantasy watch. The original blue Sub was a Model 1680, whereas this is copied after a 16610. Rolex doesn't currently make a 16610 in blue. BTW, the date window on this model is too far to the right- a common problem on some of Josh's sub reps and also some of the other dealer's subs.

But, what the heck, it's a good looking watch, enjoy!

Thanks! I noticed the date window being far to the right. I'm not looking for perfection or trying to fool anyone, just having fun with these things. I've used a very small dab of model glue on my LV pearl, and it looks great. Thanks again!

  14. Just received a Summer Blue Edition from Josh. Love the watch, very nice, but noticed that the hour markers with lum were significantly smaller than the hour markers from the Sub LV from Josh and another Sub that was originally from Andrew. Just curious if anyone has noticed this before. Also the pearl is a little different than the pearl from Josh's LV. I guess it's either just some different maker, or did the blue sub, that I've been told was made exclusively for the asian market, had smaller hour markers originally. Any help would be appreciated.
