Hi, pams are currently not on the factories' agenda. So no new ones are being repped by any factory.
A bit odd since they are the second most popular brand if you look at the amount of topics on any forum.
But nevertheless it's a fact. -
Indeed most interesting topic of late!
I’m no oldtimer but it’s not hard to see the evolution of prices, demands of the buyers and innovations by the factories.
I was a tad surprised to hear that not one of the factories were making new Panerai reps, and to see the prices for the high end Rolex, AP etc soar makes me a bit uncomfortable.
As a modder I get a ton of requests for gen parts, like they are so easy to find. People have no idea really. Especially the new kids.
Love to read about the shenanigans of the old gang, and I remember some of the names from the time I was on here day and night gathering knowledge....
Good times

Hi, congrats with your purchase!
Winding is clockwise, on top of automatic winding you should wind it manually in the moening and when you put it down at night, 5-10 quick winds.
Rotor lube should be the thicker kind, D5 or grease. Very little!

It really isn’t.
Make a cool watch damn you!
What is it with Panerai lately?
Most of their watches, just meeehhhh...
Not special, not macho, not eyecatching.
They need to dare more.
Like the slogan from the X Flottiglia Mas said, Memento Audere Semper, remember to always dare!

A new dial and hands that look line they belong to each other would help tremendously and ofcourse the movement needs a new stem and maybe a service

Looks like it has a getat case, dial is not special or interesting but movement has dellone rolex bridges, molnija movt, engraved caseback, I’d say have it transformed into something special, it’s worth it!

in 47mm there are a few, check the pam guide but the 127, 690, 662, ... come to mind for the more classic pam models

Tony’s rollie was a fake, as the internet found out long ago.
About the bracelets, you always have a choice between the three types available. President, jubilee and that other one lol

Hi, deepns scratches won't buff out, you can sand and polish but all the excess material thats higher than the scratch will have to be lowered by sanding/polishing.
I habe a few pam midcases laying around so might be of help.
Pm if interested

Hi guys, well there's no 12-step program to getting this result, it takes years of trying and testing to know what works.
All I can say is, if you know how to make a professional looking, realistic airfix or revell model, then you know how to do this
Glad you are happy Lorenzo, and it turned out to be a very handsome watch! Plexi has also come out very well. Congrats!
