  1. If the watch is low on power, the chrono will stop. This is normal with all mechanical chronos.

Have you worn the watch for a day or so, it should normally have enough power to operate the chrono..

If it still stops intermittently, it is defect... ready for return..

The Portoguese has a reworked 7750, and the movement has unfortunately proved to be troublesome.. There are a lot of transfer gears used to move the seconds subdial from 9 to 6 o'clock.

Thanks I am looking for a watchsmith in the netherlands to take a closer look at the mechanism.... Its dead now...

  2. If it is 7750 chrono version you have to push hard on top pusher to start the chrono. It is really stiff, nothing like quartz watches and their pushers (if you are used to that).

Yes thanks I have figured it out.

The watch is breaking down. It stops every minute at 37" secs.

Hope I can find someone to service or replace it for a ETA 7750

    Cheers,

  3. Regarding the text on your page about the Prtugieser automatic. I am having the IWCS016 from Silix for two months now. "Very good replicas and some of the most beautiful watches I have yet to see. But again there is the bad chrono-module which may kill the movement after some time". This is exactly what startens to happen with mine. It stops at 36". some tapping makes it run again but this is awefull/ I love the watch. I am looking for suggestions how to solve (letting repair it). Can tou give me some advise or directions.

    Thank, Ruud Kuiper

  4. IWC Portuguese Chrono from Silix Prime.

I bought it twp months ago and its stops running at "35" seconds.

After some tapping it start running again but after a few minutes it stops again.

When it is on the table it stops after a few also.

Can someone advice me what to do or to whome to send the watch to for some expertise?

    Pls respond
