  1. Thanks for the reply. So i tried a few different combinations and a far as I can tell, I cant manually wind it. Its a shame as the watch was hardly worn and aesthetically looks brand new. I guess Its probably an easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing, but finding a trusted watch repairer in the UK isnt easy, sit the bullet and ordered a new 45mm from Andrew (This watch was a 42mm) to replace it. Anyone know any forums or platforms available for me to try and sell this broken piece? I mean theres obviously ebay, but im not out to try and fool anyone its a gen and I dont think they allow fakes to be listed. Any advice welcome.

  2. Hi, I have a pumpkin ceramic PO and after about a month the automatic wind stopped working and so the watch would just stop. Is there a way to manually wind these watches and if so what is the procedure. (Ie. how far is crown pulled out and is wound away from me or towards me. Thanks

  3. ...apologies, perhaps "power reserve" is a better description than a "battery". It's an automatic movement which ordinarily would wind itself throughout the day with general movement. Originally a days wrist wear would easily wind the watch enough to last at least 12 hours if left still. This has now degraded to a point where even after a weeks wear the watch comes to a stop after maybe 2 hours.

  4. Hi, can anyone recommend a good trustworth watch smith I can use to repair my 42mm pumpkin PO. It seems the battery reserve isn't holding any charge and the watch just stops after a couple of hours (...it used to remain charged overnight!) any help would be most welcome. Thanks

  5. Hi, received a new CrUPO pumpkin 42mm last week from Andrew. It arrived quickly and I was impressed with the quality. However, the watch randomly stops during the day! I'm aware that there is a battery reserve limit, but this can sometimes happen at the end of the day when it's been on wrist for 8+ hours so I'd assume that it should be suitably charged. I don't really know what to do and wandered if anyone had experienced the same or had a solution? Thanks

  6. So I was about to push the button on a 45mm ceramic pumpkin PO from Andrew and as a precaution I mailed him to ensure that his stock did not have the "Liquid Metal" stamp on the case back. His response came as a bit of a shock to be honest. He sent me QC pics of his stock (which unfortunately DID have "Liquid Metal" on them) I questioned this as he had previously stated that the new batches had been rectified. To which he replied that he had no idea that it should not be there and that I should check a gen. As this is a well documented fault I was amazed he was claiming not to know of it (especially given his earlier email stating it had been removed). I sent him an image of the gen and he said he would question it with the factory! This got me nervous and I've held off ordering.

Does anyone know of any dealers selling this watch without "Liquid Metal" and with double AR?

  7. Its a real shame that we dont have someone here in the UK, Im sure there are quite a few of us who love to get bits and bobs done to our watches and by the sounds of it weve been let down by a few people messing previous modders around. I wish I had the skills myself, could be quite lucrative. In terms of the dial fix for the UPO, surely it would be a lot cheaper to source a Silix dial and swap the logo rather than sourcing a gen dial? Would the difference in price out weigh the difference in the final appearence??

  8. Quick question, I am thinking of purchasing a UPO but a few of the obvious flaws (visually) annoy me. So does anyone know of any UK or EU based members able to do mods such as double AR and switching the logo etc? All of the contacts i have come across are all outside of the EU and then you run into problems with customs, extra postage costs etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers.

  9. Yeah i see your point Pugwash! Just a shame us guys in the UK have to miss out on getting our watches modded to the standards Ive seen on these boards. With all the worry of shipping internationally and customs etc its just a hassle to have to seek help outside of the UK. Guess I'll just have to live with it the way it is for now. Still a lovely watch.

  10. ..hmm dont think I feel confident enough to start dismantling my new time piece so it looks like i may have to chance shipping it after all. It really suprises me that there are no UK modders about <<light bulb flashes>> maybe ive just had my million pound revelation!!! :D

  11. Hi all, I hope somebody can point me in the right direction. I have purchased a UPO from Trusty recently and would love to get the Omega logo replaced with the correct one from a Silix dial and also double AR'd. However i live in the UK and dont fancy shipping the peice back and forth to the States or elsewhere. Does anybody know where I could get this done in the UK? Please help!!

  12. Azerbyjam.....I tried to register with the TRC but it seems that for whatever reason I am not receiving the confirmation email (...tried everything, removing spam filters, checking spam box etc) so it will not allow me to enter the forums to contact TOMHIGHWAY unfortunately, otherwise I would certainly drop him a line.

  13. Teejay....yes PT is sending me a replacement dial - no problem. However, therein lies my problem as I require soemone reputable to swop it over for me, based in the UK. Unfortunately I am relatively house bound so was hoping there would be a forum member I could post the item to for the work to be done.

  14. ...not too sure that this would work as the marker is just printed on to the dial (...its just the 27 min/sec marker) and as such i imagine rubbing it would only serve to smudging it further. Imagine a straight line, smudged to the left, it creates an appearance of having no centre to the line, and so something would require reprinting the centre of the line.
