Got a 212 from another member here. Watch has been running great. Now, all of the sudden, it's just dead. It has the clear caseback and nothing is turning. Hitting the choronos will reset them back to zero, but that's it. I've wound it thru shaking and by hand, but I can't get a tick out of it.

Should I send it to one of our repairers or should I take it to someone locally or what?

As for the debate about rehauts....etc....nobody I know.....can spot a fake of this quality fom a rep at a distance....put them side by side...and yes...you will notice the difference if you are familiar with subs......but to the casual owner / buyer.....no.....I have several friends here who own the genuine article.....they wouldn't know rehaut if it bit their ankle and introduced itself.......IT'S A $100 BUXX WATCH.....that keeps good time and has the magical 5 letters on the dial....nothing more than that....!

I've been reading this discussion with some interest. Today i received mine. I have a couple of Gens. I had to study the Gens to see if the rehaut is different. It is........but barely noticeable except to those obsessed by it.

Than I took it to my AD to size the bracelet. He was a little [censored] that I hadn't bought from him. Then I told him it was a rep. He laughed and "no it isn't. I can spot a rep a mile away" (LOL). When I convinced him he called over two other sales people. They could not find any flaws. They don't focus on the little details.

I was laughing and told him the Chinese are going to put them out of business. They were literally stunned.

So much for obsessing over the details.

What rep do you have exactly? From whom? I'm curious... Most ADs will smell a rep across the room...

As an agent in insurance, most likely you are home free. However, if they audit their claims, which they all do, you may get caught.

What value did you assign the watch? If you said $300, you're probably fine. If you put $3000, that's fraud... They like to make examples of people like you...

The Optoma HD70 projector is HD 720p and under $1000. For that you can throw the image on a white painted wall and get a 100 inch screen from about 13 feet away! If that's too big you can reduce it down to about 60 inches. Just set the projector on a table between your chairs and you have an instant movie theater!

I have an Infocus 4805 (not HD but I have no way to get it other than sat) that I paid $800 in February. The picture is better than my Sony LCD I have in my bedroom and half the price!

I have a Pam 192 from Andrew - great watch - that's been running well for the last four months. Now, out of nowhere, it's running almost 30 minutes slow a day. When I try to wind it, it will stop after about 4 turns. I've let it run all the way out, but it keeps running slow and the winding stops after a couple turns...

Any ideas? No exposure to anything bad, water, dropping, etc... TIA.

I have my lovely Pam 192 and the chorno at 9:00 runs all the time, but the main second hand can be stopped and started. I have no idea what the protocol is - do people let them both run or not? Right now I have the second hand stopped at 12:00. I think both running is just too busy...

Got my 192 from Andrew today - simple perfect - too new for pictures! The orange PO will be sitting in the drawer for a while. I love how the blue in the hands comes alive when you look at it from an angle...

My wife will be sporting a white Roman Datejust from PT - also perfect! This one really sweeps and looks like a Swiss!

four seasons costs ~5k/DAY for ONE person btw. but it rockssss... they have an xbox room and such... really niceeee!

I stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani, which is right next door to the Four Seasons. We had a villa on the ocean and it was $2500 a day. They had nicer ones for more, but it was still very very very nice. Chris Rock was staying in one behind us while we were there - his daughter and my son became friendly and I have a couple pictures of them together...

I spent Xmas of 2003 in Maui - beautiful...

Other than the one edition where there are only 2 of them, is the 192 the most expensive Pam? I've done some searching and it appears it's the most at around $21,500....

At this point people should be focused on facts and not opinions. There is no point in having folks who have not done business with Joe posting opinions. There are some pretty simple questions which forum members who have had recent transactions with Joe should answer:

If the work has been completed are you satisfied with the work?

If you are still waiting, how long has it been and have you been able to contact him?

I still have no sense (after six pages of postings) how many watches are with Joe waiting to be repaired and, other than Namor and a couple of others, how many people have had a bad experience on the mods or the repairs they received.

IMHO, anyone who is or has been involved with transactions with Joe and is reading this loop and not posting their own experience is not doing justice to other forum members. Facts are facts. Opinions are not helpful at this point.

I'd guess that he has over 100 watches to work on right now. He told me he had 50 packages back in April he hadn't even opened yet. I was told I'd get the watch back in a couple weeks. I cannot believe that all these people who had sent their watches and didn't get them back within five or six weeks didn't speak up. I guess because he's godlike to many on here...

I sent him a 2005 Daytona after having it 1 week because the minute hand caught on the subdials. I thought he could fix that and the cgs for me. And I sent a Comex that had a cracked crystal. In the beginning there was a good comunication. Then, nothing.

I hope I get these back...

I have an Orange PO from King and a black PO from Joshua here in front of me - both have similar sweeps much like the Rolex reps.
