  1. Rolex reps seem to have the highest QC applied to them. Never had a problem with a rolex rep of which I own 4. Omega reps are a different story. Of the 6 omega reps I own all have had a problem or 3. Mostly due to crappy bezel inserts misaligned to bezel, crystal not fully pressed, clasp mushroom falls off, bracelet scratched or crap, crown stripped or just wrong, stem too long or short, and bezel problems ( no click, too tight, too loose). The movements are usually reliable unless we are talking about 7750 based reps, of which 100% have been defective and required $150 rebuilds to run correctly. ( I own 5 ).

The best rep I have is a 2836-2 Yachtmaster from Andrew. Waterproof and accurate to a couple seconds a day. It has font issues, but thats really a small problem. It is the one shining gem in my collection. I own 36 watches.

  2. You can kill someone with pretty much anything.

It is the defective people that must be banned.

Weapon bans take the weapons out of the wrong hands

and make victims of law abiding citizens. In a town where

everyone is armed, everyone is very cordial to each other

and quite careful to avoid misunderstandings.

That "jew gold" comment wouldn't fly in this town.

  3. I am in for a couple of sapphire crystals.

Also I bought a crystal press from the bay for pretty cheap and have pressed about 11 crystals correctly ( 100% ) but I don't want to get into the crystal pressing business either.

To remove a crystal, just press on it from the inside. Usually single thumb power is needed. Getting them back in is a little more trouble.

Look for my other post regarding the bay purchase.

I am kind of confused. Even if i purchase the tap I still need to re-thread the hole right. I need a tool to do the thread, I do not think that is cheap.

Anybody has any idea of the price

    Regards

A tap is the thing that cuts the threads into the sides of a smooth hole.

These gentlemen are telling you to clean up the existing threads with a

tap, which will cut away anything not supposed to be in the existing threads.

The tap, and the thing that cuts the threads are one and the same thing.

There is also a spline looking device that will drive and remove gen

crown tubes. Rep tubes, on the other hand, are (generally) smooth inside.

  5. I had -9 in both eyes, no astigmatism. I got ICL ( implant ) surgery and I can now see 20/15 in both eyes from within minutes of getting the surgery. I have had IOP ( intra ocular pressure ) issues, and had to have multiple iridotomies ( YAG laser to punch invisible holes in the iris to allow pressure to equalize ( sounds worse than it is ) ).

The lenses are also UV filters which tightens up outdoor vision. Amazing difference in vision. Razor sharp. No halos or light sensitivity. I have had dry eye issues and use NATURES TEARS spray which feels great. I am over 40 so I do have to wear reading glasses in some situations, but I had to do that before the surgery anyway.

The ICLs can be removed leaving your eyes in stock condition. There was no way to get this kind of vision with any of the laser procedures. It was 6 grand for both eyes.
