    This one.

The Safari was given a "soft" update, and the v2 comes with the silver lining, and possibly an upgrade of the datewheel color to off-white.

You just need to look at the pictures, the silver lining around the dial markers indicate the updated version. :)

Thanks. My head is spinning cuz I've been looking at these pics to find the "silver lining" all night yesterday. Do you really see any silver line around the numbers? I may have problem with my eyes or looking at wrong spot. I see borders of the black colored numbers are elevated but they don't look silvery at all.
  2. Hi. I've been a member for quite a while but I started collecting just recently. These days I've been eyeing on AP ROO diver v4.1 but there seems to be v5 that came out recently. Looks like we will need some time to get feedback and reviews about v5 but just wanted to know what you experts opinions are as of now. Which version should I go for If I want to buy one now?

  3. Thanks for the input. I am in Illinois. Yes I've been around for several yrs but not much experience to share.. it's only my 4th purchase. 2 from Andrew and 1 from someone I don't remember. I had no problems with Andrew before and am pretty sure that I won't this time but just getting impatient cause tracking info's messy and it's taking unusually long. Just wondering how long it usually takes from the US as it's my first purchase from here.

  4. I ordered one from Andrew and tried to be patient but this tracking does not make any sense. So I just wanted to ask you guys what it means.

    Here goes the tracking info..

    Timing Site Status

2013-09-17 19:07:00 City of Guangzhou Posting

2013-09-17 19:48:00 City of Guangzhou Despatch from Sorting Center

2013-09-17 23:18:00 GUANGZHOU Arrival at Sorting Center

2013-09-17 23:47:00 GUANGZHOU Released from Customs

2013-09-18 00:07:00 GUANGZHOU Handed over to Customs

2013-09-18 00:46:00 GUANGZHOU Despatch from Sorting Center

So the timeline of the tracking does not make any sense to me. First of all, do packages go through customs at origin country? I thought it only has to go through the customs at the destination country.

Second, why was it 'handed over to customs' after being 'released from customs' ? Whatever happened, it's been stuck at that point for 16 days. Please give me some input. I ordered from the US. Thanks.

  5. I got 3rd gen PO from TTk a few months ago...and this has been my daily beater since then.

But oneday when I saw this watch in the sunlight, I suddenly noticed that the dial color is not exactly black.

And after that moment, this keeps bothering me.

Upon thorough inspection under bright light, It still looks more 'Dark gray' than black.

Yeah, it looks almost black..but it isn't exactly..

And moreover, now I don't think this dial color goes well with the greenish lume color of minute marker.

What I want to know is..

-How about Andrew's 4th gen PO? Does that have the same dial color as TTk's?

-And How about gen PO? Does it also have dark gray dial color?

It could be just my eye problem..but I'm still curious.. :g:

  6. 1. The pins in the links are screws. That is an unnecessary alteration to the original.

    2. The above-mentioned screws are of extremely low quality and some were impossible to remove.

    3. The end link is one piece instead of 5 (well known problem)

    4. The lock is low quality and broke after a week !!

Same problem happened before with my SMP from Josh.

    Read THIS

I read several postings complaining about Josh's SMP these days..

I think it is obvious that there is a problem on the bracelet of Josh's SMP..

Although I have watch tool kit, I had really hard time trying to remove

the screw which was stuck in the middle of the hole.

You guys may say that it's just a small problem and it's just a 'screw'..

but what can you do when you cannot remove the screw and cannot resize the bracelet?

I was so frustrated but did nothing to Josh. sent no email and didn't say dealer's name in this forum.

I thought telling the dealer's name would do harm to his business..and I didn't want it.

But this thing keeps happening...I think Josh has to comment on this.

I know a lot of people in this forum thinks he's a good dealer and I too agree,

but he can make mistake too and If he did, He should try to fix it.

He shouldn't just ignore these complaints.

Hope Josh would do the right thing..

  7. thats nice but it seems it ha screwsin the bracelet rather than pins. although i prefer screws, the gen has pins.

Yeah, right. This one has screws..and the screws are way too thick for the screw hole...so some joints of the bracelet are not smooth. Be careful adjusting the bracelet length..

  8. I had similar problems. BUT. I found that oiling the bracelet made it work like a dream. And smothering the strap pins with WD40 oil when resizing them made them come out reasonably enough.

Of all the reps I've bought, the SMP is probably my favourite - it is a really really close replica. And the ETA movement inside is sweet.

    Just my 2p's worth....

Thanks, I definitely should try oiling this bracelet..This bracelet sounds like an old closet door..

  9. Hi everyone..

I found this site about a month ago and started buying reps since then..

The first watch I bought was TTK's 3rd gen planet ocean..

And the second one was Andrew's black sub..

Because the quality of these watches being so great, I continued buying more watches..

I read a lot of postings about omega SMP, everybody was saying that this watch is gorgeous..

So I decided to pull the trigger on this one..and I submitted an order to one of the well-known dealers here..

I might be expecting too much for a fake watch..because I am so disappointed about this SMP..

What I am most disappointed at is the quality of its bracelet..

Some joints of the bracelet were not moving smooth..at first I didn't know why..

Anyway, I had to resize the bracelet..so I tried to remove the iron shafts with a driver..

some of them were easily removed..but 2 of them were not moving at all !

These iron shafts are too thick to be fit in the hall..I think in the factory, they inserted these shafts with a hammer.. This was the reason why some joints were not smooth..

So I had very hard time removing these stuck-in shafts with pliers and hammers in my watch tool set..

Other things that I don't like in this watch are bezel pearl and date window.. there was a scratch in the triangular area of the bezel..and pearl is not flat..it's concave ! ...and the date font is not centerd in the window..and the white color of date wheel looks like cheap hardboard paper..

I don't think I've chosen wrong dealer because he is well-known around here and people are still buying from him.. What I want to tell you guys is that the quality of all SMP reps are not always good..

If you are a beginner like me, you should read a lot of postings and ask the dealers about quality of the watch they are selling..or this thing can happen to you..

  10. I finally today recieved my Planet Ocean from Andrew (12 days from Malaysia to U.S). It is truly an amazing replica, I was completly stunned when I had unpacked it. However, I belive there is something wrong with the clasp. It wont "click" when I try to close it. After some closer examination my guess is that there should be some sort of pin on the clasp that hooks into the hole, if so I didn't got one (the pin). I took some fast pictures of it for you guys to help me see if there is something wrong with it or am I just beeing stupid?

Please help a newbie with his first replica watch ever!

I think a part of the clasp is missing..a thing that holds the clasp closed tight...you should tell Andrew about this..

  11. I think it is metal-induced allergic contact dermatitis..

It is an allergic skin reaction to metal...especially to nickel.

You can confirm it yourself by checking if it happens on your belly skin with belt buckles..

It rarely happens with SS..maybe the CG of your watch contains Nickel in it..

It can be easily treated with topical corticosteroid..and oral antihistamines would help, too.

But the 1st line of therapy is avoiding long term contact with metal containing nickel.

If you can't leave your lovely watch, just take it off during the exercise..because sweating makes it worse..

    I'm a doctor..guess you can believe me..
