  1. I was not being rude, i was speaking my mind.

If someone asks questions after a bit of research, then thats all fine and good, but if my 3rd post was:

"hey, give me 98 percent accuracy", then i am being a bit hasty......

No offence meant to you, its just that had you had a look around, I am sure you could have brought out more specific questions thta could have resulted in more specific and helpful answers.

Good luck, unfortunately except for the nautilus by mbw, all patek fakes are just not good enough to date.

well, sorry, i could have given you advice on at least 84% accurate top notch pateks, but 90, oh no, 90 is where it gets difficult................:)

Man, chill out and READ on the board before posting such ridiculous crap.....

  4. hi guys, a few days ago i saw a 6241 on Honpo´s site, does anyone know how to get in contact with them and have experience with them? isnt there something about only shipping in japan or so?

Ive lost the webaddress, could someone provide me with it?

    cheers,

    Robbie

  5. Yet you offered a 90€ Asian movement 111h for 140€ claiming it was Swiss?

I'm withholding judgement on your movement spotting skills for now. :D

    Feel free! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I did explain, if you had read my reply properly, that i viewed several levels of finish quality on the Pam 111H, and the one i bought was better quality than others that had glued on bridges, etc. I did not CLAIM it was swiss, I said i presumed it was and i sold the watch without having stated it was 100 % guaranteed swiss. I would like to see you keep your cool on all movements after looking at 1000 watches!

anyway, I have seen watchsmiths that have worked for Rolex or IWC for a long time get fooled by reps, and even the large auction houses with loads of experience ( especially antiquorum comes to mind ) have made many a large mistake in the past. Its an open secret that a Patek ref. 130 in steel sold at Antiquorum with an unusual dial layout was an outright fake, one that cost the buyer quite a sum of money!

sooo, as i said, it is just my 2 cents, I am not asking anyone to take what i said for the holy truth.....

  6. Hi Corgi,

I work with Patek Philippes from time to time and I can pretty much guarantee that your watch is indeed not a PP. Sorry, but even in the old Pateks which were unsigned, in the period between Patek&CZA and Patek Becoming Patek Philippe, the regulating bridge (not sure if this is the right expression in english) was decorated. The finishing of the movement is suspect to me, and I believe the dial print is wrong too.

I would be very interested to know the outcome of this, as i am as i said pretty sure its not an original, no offence!!!

Yet, even if this watch WERE an original, it would fetch around 1000-1700 US, so its not worth considering a sale, and i am sure it is a prized possesion!

    All the best,

    Robbie

  7. just a quick question regarding the dials of the IWC, which rep does look more like the real thing? the one with the white dial and gold letters or the one with the white dial and blue letters... (I think the real one with the gold letters has rose gold instead of yellow) but i am not quite sure.

white with gold/blue. in the other version the blue is too prominent, while the gold colour is correct and the blue does not stand out as much.

  8. @masterluke:

I mean the valjoux Portuguese, not the asian autos. I was primarily referring to the outer appearance of the watch, havent (knock on bloody wood!) as yet had problems with the watch, although the rotor is very loud, and you can feel the spinning of the rotor as you wear it. I am however not too alarmed, as my mates genuine P does pretty much the same, albeit a little quieter. heck, i paid a little less for mine, so what the hell!
