  1. @rodwc,

thanks for that gen TT bracelet pic comparison...

looks like the gen have bigger gaps then the rep, it's funny haha...

I'm guessing what would make the gen bracelet feel strong & solid are the pins/screws connecting the individual links???

personally, I'm very fussy about the feeling of "sloopyness/floopyness" of the SS bracelets in my hands...

it just doesn't make it feel like a "good" watch...

but from what some memebers who personally own these SS bracelets, they tell me that it's very good quality :)

  2. I've been browsing the net looking at some vintage Rolex Sea Dwellers dating back to the 1970s or so.

I've seen many gen vintage Rolex movement that have rusts/crap in them???

what I don't understand is that these Rolex SD are suppose to be water-tight to unbelievable depths...

how can the movements be in conditions like these???

so, it's been making me think what sort of condition would our "super" reps with Asian/ETA movements be in, say 30 years time???

    really makes me wonder.

  3. Hats off to J&A for not trying to pass this off as Swiss ETA. From the reactions I've seen, nobody has a problem with this movement, and at a decent price I'm sure this will be a popular choice.

    Thumbs up guys!

    amen Andrew...

J & A & other dealers have made changes to the way they do business...

mainly due to the good inputs from EuroTimez...

so I praise Chris for that, amen indeed...

these Breitling reps are just simply getting better & better...

gotta find ways to make more money to get more of these super reps!!!

  4. @EuroTimez...

I'm really liking your way of doing business...

you "tell it like it is" & no hiding behind the bushes...

I believe many of the members on this forum, including me, really appreciate your "insider" information & the fact that you're willing to come out "clear & clean" & that's really praise worthy, in my honest opinion...

there's nothing more honourable than a business man being honest & transparent about his/her business practices...

I for one, am really eager to buying reps from you...

I really hope that you can quickly "expand" your rep collections to accommodate the vast choices that many of us members on this forum desire...

having said that, I'm all for "QUALITY" super-reps...

you have up-lifted the standards of this forum, good on you!!!

  5. I'm becoming more & more inclined to get Asian clone movements of ETA...

with the rumours that the current supply of ETA are not of good quality (used or modified or rebuild, etc).

at least with an Asian ETA clone, we're able to get parts in the futuresif it indeed does need repair.

I think The Zigmeister said that he prefers to work on Asian clones than genuine ETA because it's very difficult to get parts of genuine ETA???

having said that, I agree with the argument that there's any good justification to charge such a high "premium" for an Asian ETA clone.

a copy is still a copy, any which way you look at it, it's not up there with the genuine thing.

  6. although I must admit that this "clone ETA" does have very high level of decoration on it...

we can all say what we may "think" from the pictures posted, but the truth of whether it's "genuine ETA" will only be revealed if the rep is sent to someone like The Zigmeister for closer inspection.

I think The Zigmeister is too busy at the moment to be on the forum.
