  1. Exquisite! I've got the asian 7750 version on the way from Joshua, I can't wait. IMO, this is the most interesting and elegant Pam chrono design.
  2. Those watches look all nice and polished up - just beautiful! By-tor, make I ask, from whom did you get your black GMT?
  3. CJ, thanks for your reply.
  4. I'm in the same boat, I've been wanting an SS/black dial Daytona for a very long time, gorgeous, classic chrono. I actually gave in a few months ago, suppressed my fear of the asian 7750 secs @ 6 and ordered one from one of our finest dealers. When I got it, it had awful subdial rings, they were fat and very shiny, and the subdials were too small. It looked really cheap and fake, nothing like his web photos. After a bit of cajoling the dealer agreed to take it back and refund my money. The subdials on the secs @ 9 Daytona are too small, and the rings are too thick, doesn't look right, IMO. I wish they'd somehow perfect the Daytona, sigh.
  5. CJ, are you familiar with American Funds? What is your opinion of them? Thanks!
  6. He DOES look like Freddy, too funny!
  7. This is typical - they're floating the cheaper version of the watch to test the market, then they will trot out the higher end one. That's what they did with the AP Wempe.
  8. Hi George! Your name has been confused with WM9 George a few times before, you should change your screen name to GeorgeMaria or something similar
  9. That's beautiful, Rolli! I'm about to order one myself, I think it's the best Pam chrono design. Who did you get your from? Happy New Year to you.
  10. Thanks much, Andrew. Now I feel better, I thought Josha was ignoring my PM.
  11. How about a moment's silence for me please - I think the BB will be too big for my skinny 6.5" wrist.
  12. hk, yeah I do think it's kinda silly to be wearing a cockpit dial complete with frame on your wrist - to be honest I don't care for the watch at all. And the few wrist shots I've seen confirm my dislike.
  13. Erp, never mind -just read again it's a gen. It's gorgeous, I wish it came in a rep. Sorry, I've got the holiday brain dead syndrome.
  14. Chronomat, where did you get your cream white Exp II please?
  15. Ahem, anyway - that blinged B&R is bizarre - the origin of the watch is a dial from an airplane cockpit, for Christ's sake.
  16. I believe Craig wore a 42.5 mm PO in the movie, not 45.
  17. Merry Christmas to you too, Sash!
  18. I have one of Andrew's cheap but satisfying quartz PO chronos on a rubber strap I swapped out from a Silix Seamaster. It fits and looks quite decent except for those blasted locating pins sticking out against the sides of the case. Rico, what is the purpose of these of these location pins anyway? Is it so the strap ends don't flip up when the watch is worn? What would happen if I nipped them off with wire cutters? Thanks!
  19. My $108 Joshua 090 Power Reserve is a very satisfying acquisition, beautiful case finish, crisp dial, runs perfectly, what's not to like?
  20. Hi Randy, I believe this watch is massive - about 43mm case size, that's a lot of shiny steel on our skinny wrists. But you know what? I don't care! I'm gonna get this beautiful hockey puck.
  21. Oops, sorry. I meant elprimero, not Tourby. You guys with movement names all sound the same, sort of.
  22. I really like it with the numerals rather then the stick markers, very nice retro feel. But the gap between the bracelet and endlinks is pretty bad, I'm sorry to say this, Tourby. Are all the Evo bracelets like that?
  23. Try Duarte Mendonca at northeastwatchworks.com
  24. He was wearing an FM at the big poker game, dunno what model.
  25. You can't go wrong with Sash, I'm dealing with him right now on a little service matter and he is the nicest, most helpful guy. I highly recommend him.
