Looking for a nice ladies YM and wondering who sell them?
I've looked at a few of the dealers and no luck.
-
Ask one of the recommended watchsmiths/modders like The Zigmeister or Vacuum, I'm sure it's an easy fix for them. The Zigmeister usually helps people with advice, if he doesn't already have a post in his section.
Sending it off to Vac.

You need to be specific as to what is stuck - the watch or the pusher or both?
In either case, at the very least, you will need to remove the caseback to see how the pusher components are functioning. Once the caseback is removed, you should be able to localize the problem.
The top chrono button is stuck (depressed) and did not pop back up after I pushed it in. I can pull it up a little but nowhere close to it's original position. The bottom button is fine. Perhaps the top pusher just needs a bit of lubricant? I dunno.
I am hoping to send to someone that know what he's doing as I do not profess to be able to work on these types of watches and this is my baby so I want to get it fixed ASAP.
Is there any risk to the movement if the chrono function is running for a day or two?
-
Well, just installed my new 3717 case on my old watch and I push the top chrono pusher for the first time and... it's now stuck.
How the hell do I un-stuck this thing? Will I ruin my movement if I do not get this fixed soon?
Any advice is welcomed!

PM sent, Ubi. Thanks!

My father-in-law cannot wear his Daytona because his hand is too big and wrist much smaller. When he tries to put the watch on, he forces the pin in the clasp to pop right out and the watch goes flying. At first I thought I could retro-fit a divers extension to alleviate the problem but I have had zero luck finding one (18mm I believe).
Do any of the dealers, or anyone else for that matter, make a replacement bracelet? Maybe that's what I need.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Wondering if any of you gents have any experience or opinions on the WM9 Explorer 1. Is it a much better version than the one being sold by all of the other dealers?
Here's the link to the watch... http://www.watchmaker9.tv/products/rolex_explorer_114270.htm
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance for the help.

I am desperately looking for a deployment clasp to fit my father-in-law's Daytona bracelet. I believe it would be 18mm.
Thank you in advance!
-
And when I say "help" I mean pay for that help, of course.

I am looking for someone in New England to clean the inside of my Explorer I crystal (smudge) and oil the movement in my watch. Please PM me if you can help.
Thanks!

Apparently, they are nowhere to be found. If yours pops off and you cannot find it, you're screwed.
Dealers... anyone??? Bueller??? Anyone??????

I just received my DSSD V3 and the watch is gorgeous with the exception of the bezel pearl which I would like to replace. Do any of you gents know of a source for one?
Thanks in advance for the help!
-
Thanks for the tip, those watches look to be spot on! I couldn't find the prices though??
LOL...
"The rookie from downtown.... YES!... a three!"
-
Does anyone know a source for replacement bezel pearls for the DSSD? Either Gen or Rep.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
-
ya, don't do it. lol. i learned my lesson the hard way and will never attempt to do anything to my watches again. with that being said, i have no idea how much skill you have in that department so have fun and good luck!
Thanks... I think.

Well, after reading Gio's thread on modding a DSSD V3 as well as a couple other threads on bracelet mods, I've decided to mod my own V3 once it arrives. Here are the mods I will be doing:
1. Mothers Mag & Aluminum bracelet refinishing mod
2. White Lightning Clean Ride clean/lube mod
3. Gio's bezel and case back paint mod
I am going to skip the matte dial mod, for now.
If any of you have any words of wisdom, please feel free to offer.
I will be "practicing" the bracelet mods on my Explorer I tonight. We'll see how that goes.

Hey John...
As a newbie turned intermediate, I can tell you... the Search button is your best friend. And, the veterans here WILL make you earn your stripes and find stuff yourself. It's like an initiation process.
My answer would be to pick up a V3 and then mod it as Gio outlined in his terrific tutorial post. I am doing the mods this week. A little nervous, but I will take my time and do them when my kids are all in bed!
Good luck!

Drop ship from a factory direct to the customer, or drop ship to a stock holding area and then on to the customer, it is still the same thing......
Dealers like Sead1999 and Precioustime can't drop ship, as they receive the goods into the USA and UK first and inspect them, any that don't come up to scratch are sent back
I don't think for one second that PWC ever set his eyes on any watch he sells....
OMG!!! Yet this joker PM'd me telling me that he makes the f'ing pearls for the DSSD and that he uses a thinner to mod them etc.
EXPOSED!!!!!!!!!
-
PWC comes from a wholesale background, that is why his customer care is so crap, his own ego comes well before his customers actual needs
Of course he drop ships, with the volume he sells through at the slightly lower prices he charges, what did you expect?
He is the last dealer you should choose if QC is your main bug......
Unfuccinreal.
This just keeps getting better. This guy has the audacity to call me a liar when he didn't even look at my f'in watch and claims to have made the pearl and modded it as well!!!
Anyone considering buying anything from this guy should think long and hard about it. Period.

You purchased the watch from prestigewatchco, very bad decision
A drop ship dealer, with zero customer skills and after sales service, virtually any other dealer would have been a better choice for you....
PWC was selling Asian 7750 reps as Swiss on ioffer for a very long time, probably still is. Heaven knows why they let him become a dealer over there anyway.....
How many watches does he sell that go straight onto the member trade forum? Loads, because they are only similar to the higher end reps from the best factories, and people get fooled, his descriptions are ambiguous at best....
Lesson learned the hard way, sorry
Wait... this guys is a drop-ship dealer? Is that accurate???
If so, then I guess the following statement, direct from Robert, is pure BS!!!
"Of course you shouldn't have received it without a pearl we actually make the pearls so it would appear it was never done if it is not in the pack I have come accross this a couple of times to be honest we use a thiners to flatten the top of the pearl and I think sometimes it may lossen the pearl".
-
Never mind, once bitten......
Maybe you should consider buying your watches from Super Mirrors (sead1999)? He is based in the US, so no shipping issues and zero customs risk, or return delays, plus 110% better QC and after sales service, his prices are still competitive too.....
For US members he is surely the best option? In the same way that Precious Time is for us EU peeps.....
Cheers!
I am going to look into him. I have heard good things. Thanks, my friend.

Thanks, Mickey. Lesson learned albeit in a very frustrating manner.

ok if you chrged it under sunshine for 40 mins and its still like that then obviously he sent you the wrong watch.. coz it should start turning all blue after 40 mins under sunlight
Absolutely. And how did he respond?... he called me a liar. (Thread over on Repgeek). Can you f'in believe that!?
He claims that I "must have charged the watch at night time and that there was no way I charged the watch for 40 minutes in sunshine". I am speechless. This is a dealer people actually buy from???! I even kept his name out of my original post to keep his reputation clean. And for me being a good guy I get flamed by him and called a liar.
What a train wreck of an experience.
Just received my wife's Yachtmaster but I have an issue and need help!

I just received a beautiful ladies Yachtmaster from Josh for my wife but the springbar that attaches the bracelet to the clasp is weak and keeps popping out, rendering the watch unable to be worn. This is a present for her and I really want to get it fixed ASAP. I was resizing the watch for her and as I opened the clasp it became unattached from the bracelet! I believe I need a stronger springbar that will engage better once it is fitted in the clasp holes.
If any of you gents have any (12mm) that you can spare PLEASE let me know. I would really appreciate it!
