  1. When are you going to wear something else other than a Pam bro Nice watch and shot btw
  2. Thanks Hooky for your input on this particular dealer. WU can scare of potential customers as the name just sounds the scammer alarms, but we must remember that it's not easy for businessmen to accept credit cards and Paypal as payment methods, as it is in Europe or the US. Of course you have to have a lot of trust in a dealer if you are wiring a lot of money to them via WU, but as long as the dealer is legit, there is no real risk. I would happily pay a good dealer via WU, compared to paying a shitty dealer via Paypal or credit card.
  3. Hey everyone, a little while back I posted a thread here on suggestions for a non steel ladies watch, as my sister gets a rash when she wears one. So at the time I thought it would be best if she went for a Ceramic watch. Guess what... she doesn't like Rado or the Chanel J12's Yesterday she told me that she now wants a gold cased brown leather strapped watch, I asked her about the metal case, and she said as long as she wears it at the bottom of her wrist (nearer to her hand) then she will be OK. So guys, any suggestions for a nice ladies watch with a brown strap and gold case? Thanks in advance.
  4. Indeed you have been fortunate Freddy. Both movements have extensively been reported to suffer from total movement failure, but your's beat the odds Enjoy them, they are very good watches.
  5. There are indeed many dealers out there. Many of whom are able to offer the same standard of service that the trusted dealers on the forums offer. However due to a number of reasons, such as language barrier, them unable to find these forums or not being allowed to trade on the forum for whatever reason, we won't hear of them. Think about how many market sellers there must be who sell the exact same watches that are offered by our trusted dealers. We know they can't be only a handful in number, lets face it, factories are churning out high volumes of these good quality reps, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it for them. Us forum members are not the ones buying up all the stock.. A shame, as increased competition is healthy for both business and the consumer
  6. I do believe that if a watch like that were to be taken to the brand AD, they would consider it genuine. If that is the case, then only those who know how it was assembled will call it a franken.
  7. Thanks bro I've worn the Armani the most outside the house, so that one has got more comments than the others. However to make it a fair 'test', I would have to give the others the same amount of wrist time, and then see which ones get the most From my experience, anything shiny/blingy will catch the attention of young attractive females
  8. These days, I tend to wear my chick magnet watches . The Armani below is a chick magnet, I've had several compliments on it being a sexy watch: So are these:
  9. Don't expect quick communication from Silix. His communication isn't consistent. Sometimes he will reply in 2 days, sometimes 4, sometimes takes a week or over.
  10. I've heard her communications can be somewhat slow, but she has been proven to be reliable for many members. Some dealers operate using a more business-like attitude, whilst others are just regular guys and girls who happen to sell watches as a side business.
  11. Really nice photojournal bro, I enjoyed that. Thanks for making it
  12. F*CK ME! Thats one badass watch.
  13. I believe the WM9 Datejusts and Day-Dates are the TW Best versions, the best out of the box in terms of build quality. The finishing on these are better than the CN ones. As AllergyDoc pointed out, I also believe they are overpriced, and can/could be had cheaper. The two dealers who used to source these were Eddie Lee (who is now 'retired') and River. WM9 is adding a higher mark-up on his, an example is of the WM9 submariner, his one I believe is $500 and something, and the dealer Precious Time can source them for around $200 less.
  14. Someone should have told Bruce Willis that
  15. How much is too much for a rep? The first HBBs, $1000 + with an A7750 inside... go figure.
  16. Damn R, if you're THAT bored, can you build a FrankenJust for me?
  17. Too many to recommend in this post, however in terms of foreign films I'm quite a fan of Japanese films (all genres) and Hong Kong action cinema. Try "Battle Royale" a Japanese film about misbehaved school kids who are forced to survive an all-against-all in a remote island.
  18. To my eyes it looks exactly the same except the price drop is apparantly justified because this one has no 'platinum plating'.
  19. Brandy Taylor, the second girl is also 100% natural
  20. Thanks Toad for your many helpful replies. The primary use for the tool will be for polishing. Of course if it does other odd jobs around the house that would be an added bonus, but for the time being I will be using it for polishing. And I know what you mean about the compound being important. I've used several polishing pastes, Brasso wadding and these did polish, certainly made them more shiny, but they actually created more tiny scratches, the hairline 'swirls' that can be seen in light. Offshore, thanks for the help, a bench grinder type tool is also something I am considering.
  21. It's about time I got one of these. I've got several watch bands which could do with some polishing up. I did a search on ebay, there are thousands of these available for sale. I am a complete newbie when it comes to these things, I've never owned one or used one before, so I have no idea what I should be looking for. I'm sure that several members here own one, or have used one. If so, could any of you please recommend me a particular model that both works well, is easy to get replacement parts (buffing wheels etc) and good value for money. Many thanks in advance.
  22. Thanks Freddy. Yes mine is a rep. I will try the method you outlined above.
  23. A super rep in my books is a watch that has a very high quality in terms of fit and finish and quality of materials. I'm not too bothered on visual accuracy. Look at the MBK Nautilus, has a lot of visual inaccuracies, but easily THE best rep available in the market.
  24. I was cleaning a DJ case with a ultrasonic cleaner. After it was finished, I took the case out and noticed the bezel was loose, to my touch it came off. I am trying to put it back on, but I'm not having much luck. Are these bezels glued on or are they just a snap fit. I don't see any residue of any glue anywher so I'm assuming they just snap in. If anyone can give me tips on the easiest way to attach these back on, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.
