My wrists are rather small: My left wrist is just a hair less than 7" and my right is 7 1/8 ". See wrist shot below.

I am thin framed at a little over 6' and about 175lbs. That was perfect wide receiver size when I played ball...many years ago.

Yes, not cheap but this bracelet was custom developed, is rare and unique. Also, there are leather bands that cost much more than this and they are not as rare or unique.

Plus it really does make a 47mm 1950 watch look good! I also have a 47mm PAM202 Slytech. I am thinking about putting the metal bracelet on that to see how it looks. If I do, I will post photos.

Below are some quick photos of my recently purchased 47mm homage Destro with a unique all brushed 26mm bracelet. The first two photos are from the vendor and show the polished/brushed bracelet. The others are my watch with the all brushed bracelet.

Some comments:

1. The watch itself is put together pretty nice, especially for the price. I have two other 47mm Fiddy family watches ( a 127 from Angus and a 127 from iOffer) and it holds up very well in comparison to those watches.

2. The crystal is mineral glass but it does have AR. Hands have good lume but lume for numerals is almost non-existent.

3. The watch has a glass back with Asian needle swan neck movement. Movement is similar in appearance to H-series movement with Cote de Geneve engravings. The movement winds as good as my Angus dagger swan neck. So far the watch is keeping excellent time.

4. After subtracting links from the bracelet to fit my wrist, I re-weighed the watch with bracelet and it weighs 210 grams (previously 225 grams). I did a have problem with a link screw that was in too tight and had to substitute it with a link from my spares pile.

5. The bracelet actually tapers from 26mm to about 22mm similar to the 24mm GEN metal bands which taper from 24mm to 22mm. Most after market metal bracelets for PAM (24mm) do not taper. The tapering bracelets, in my opinion, look more elegant while the non-tapering bracelets look more masculine.

6. I am a "righty" and this is my first Destro. I still wear the watch on my left wrist and find it a tad (just a tad) more comfortable than my "righty" 47mm. Mainly because the crown guard does not interfere with the back of my hand.

The watch is very attractive in person and with the all brushed bracelet is elegant and subdued (I find the polished/brushed bracelet a little too "blingy" sometimes). The 26mm metal bracelet is rare and offers a unique alternative for your 47mm PAM.

Looks like this thread has been resurrected.

In the USA you can WEAR and POSSESS your replica watches with impunity but sell them (in volume) at your peril.

In the 3 states where I own property, there are laws on the books (e.g., spitting on the sidewalk, anti-miscegenation) that have not and will not ever be enforced, thus relegating them as meaningless.

A more relevant thread would be about ENFORCEMENT of counterfeit goods laws in various countries, specifically regarding watches. The fact that something is illegal may or may not be cause for alarm or concern.

Looks like RepGeek is down. Has anyone been able to access it today?

As I posted over on RepGeek, there are plenty of properly executed swan neck PAMs available. You just have to know where to look (hint: outside the cartel dealers).

I know, I just bought an incredible PAM127 for $280 shipped. It has everything (lume, correct crown guard, swan neck, dagger pin regulator) except cannon pin fix. In fact the seller just raised his prices $20. Compared to my Angus ultimate PAM127 it holds it's own and appears to have a better crown guard.

In addition, the cases even for similar auto movements are different. I have an AKRTOS and a ARKTOS GMT (both with Asian 7750s) and the GMT movement will not fit in the standard ARKTOS case because it is thicker due to the GMT complication.

In the real world, Synthetic Sapphire = Sapphire!

If this watch has mineral glass, there should be no mention of the word "Sapphire" anywhere in the description, which leads me to believe Andrew is mislabeling his products (again). There was a whole thread about dealers "lies" and false advertising (started by Pugwash I think). Always ask the dealer before purchasing if the watch has a sapphire crystal or mineral glass!

Recently, as I wound my Angus PAM127, I noticed the crown guard was loose. After attempting to tighten the screws and upon further inspection, I discovered one of the screws was stripped (It does not appear that the holes in the case are stripped, although it is difficult to tell). I have e-mailed Angus (Pure Time) three days ago but have yet to get a response. Two questions:

1. Where can I get replacement crown guard screws? Can you get them at alternative (i.e., non-watch) sources? If so, what are these sources?

2. In the event procuring screws is impossible, what is the best way to fix stripped screws (if there is a way)?

I think your factory did a better job on the bezel than mine. Also, after closer inspection, I believe my cannon pinion is slightly raised as well.

I believe mine as well as the one pictured on Josh's site has GLUED markers. I don't even think the GEN's markers are inlaid, but I'm not sure if the GEN's are glued either.

I know because there is picture of Mike Horn's actual Arktos floating around one of the forums. In that photo, a couple of the markers had come off during his expedition and it looked like they were glued on, but I don't know for sure.

Submersible PAM187s are notorious for bezel markers coming adrift. I believe the markers on the 187 are a PRESS fit. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

Previous PAM252s as well as most other PAM GMTs had the wrong GMT hand. It is WAY to big. See my review above and compare the "Other PAM Rep" with the genuine PAM252. The hour and minute hands on the Rep seem OK.

@Lanikai...Yeah I likes my metal! Especially on the subs. although I agree with you about the RIGHT leather strap.

Really, Its not that I don't like leather bands, its the proliferation and constant strap changing that baffles me. I do have leather straps on my PAM127, PAM177H and PAM253. But I only have one or two straps per watch (not 12 or more like many others). A basic black strap with or without white stitching, black or dark brown Gator/Croc. and a burgundy or medium tan cover all my needs.

Anyway back to the subject of the thread. According to my sources in Asia, correcting the hands is NOT as simple as it would appear. It would require a new hand set and surgery to the cannon pinion.

The watch has the correct recessed sub-second dial, correct cobalt blue dial color and a more correct GMT hand. This version is a stunner in person, especially when used with a metal band.

Watch designs like Panerai that enable strap changing have a certain appeal, but I'm just not into the strap mania. After all, Jimmy Bond always wore his watches with bracelets!

Have the prices gone up lately? YES. Are the prices still reasonable? PROBABLY.

I believe simple economics and supply and demand are the major forces at work here rather than unbridled greed (even so, as a free market American and a businessman I agree with Gordon Gecko that "...greed, for the lack of a better word, is a GOOD thing").

Still, I have been able to shop around and find good (if not better quality) reps at lower prices from reputable dealers other than the Cartel.

Has anyone ever had an automatic movement watch (in my case an Asian 7750) that winds fine manually and while being worn but won't wind on a watch winder?

I have auto GENS (Omega and Panerai) and some reps (mostly Panerai) that I put on my winders and two of the Reps (both Asian 7750) don't seem to get a good wind on the winder. All the GENS (swiss 7750) and all the other reps (which also have Asian 7750 or Japanese 21J) seem to wind fine.

Any thoughts?

Will heed members advice and avoid this site for now.
