  1. Corgi, that was a great story.
  2. I've had good luck with the generic watch and jewlery repair chains that are all over California in the shopping malls. They sell Invictas and Seikos and such, and charged me about $10 to take a link out. At both places, the guy was courteous and seemed impressed with my UPO but asked why I didn't take it to Ben Bridge where they swap links for free.
  3. Who do you think is the "iddiotto" here: You posted the above message with a duplicate account in your own for sale thread when people pointed out that you had lied about Swiss movements and sapphire crystals in your previous sales. I think someone would be crazy to buy anything from you. Stop spamming to try to sell your watches without donating first.
  4. THIS is where we should have the global GTG.
  5. I only remembered that because it was freaking hilarious.
  6. Keep voting, the contest runs for a while yet. Did you name your kid after The Maxx???
  7. I thought you already sold some to that zarkon guy?
  8. In your examples the forums are still driving dealer sales.
  9. Now they have it on a croc strap with a deployant...I'm kind of tempted now since I bet it would look great on sharkskin. Of course it's got the bad pearl and wrong logo, c'est la vie.
  10. It's a good thing we have plenty of other watches to enjoy while we wait for the lite version. In fact, the postman just stopped by with my Ice Bang (only $315) except I didn't hear the doorbell so I get to wait 'till Monday.
  11. Based on....? Try some common google searches for fake or replica watches, pretending you never found RWG.
  12. Don't you mean out of the bubble wrap? Welcome to a VERY expensive hobby; I think I spent more on watches this year than I did on my Porsche.
  13. Google searches are dominated by the Globalreplica type sites, however RWG shows up a lot. I suspect that the legit dealers depend pretty heavily on forum referrals.
  14. I don't think it makes much difference; look at the "HOS" AP T3.
  15. I don't care for the brushed ceramic either; might as well be brushed PVD. So they finally repped the All Black, right after I ordered my Ice Bang. Wonder why they decided to do the Tempus version? Anyway, I guess I'll have to stay tuned for the light or "2nd factory" version, IF I can wait that long. Lord, beer me strength.
  16. Nice froth, but can you top this:
  17. I was wondering about that--I didn't look too closely since I was at work when I saw them. No one seems to be complaining in his feedback.
  18. Ufanta has been discussed here before, they offer low-end reps at cheap prices; today I noticed that they sell un-branded reps on fleabay. Here's a gold Bond SMP for a penny.
  19. They are out of sapphires right now--I was thinking of buying it later and having it AR coated. It did cost $60 less with the mineral crystal.
  20. Angus has his watchmaker do the mods, says it takes about three days.
  21. I placed the order today--once the search started working again I dug up the info I needed.
  22. Oh, the real box has just been repped; Trusty has it but no price yet. Right off the bat I'd say the pillow that holds the watch is too flat and shiny and it's missing the logo inside the box lid. The logo on the outside of the lid is way too large. The button to unlatch the lid has no metal surround on the gen. Hard to tell if the box color is right but it doesn't seem to be.
  23. Those converted pocket watches are kinda an interesting way to get a vintage watch in a modern size; here's a nice 55mm Longines.
  24. I like the one photo with the dancing chav in the background.
