  1. I HATE waiting. The worst is when you pounce on some watch in CONUS and you think you'll get it in a couple of days, but the guy lives in Florida and sends it UPS Ground...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  2. So in one breath you admit that most of your sales claims are full of [censored], and in the next we're supposed to buy this:
  3. This is me saying his source is better. Sorry if it was confusing....
  4. Are there Swiss jewelers in East Asia?
  5. Dude, you aren't helping your cause, why don't you tell us some more about those gen dials.
  6. No. At what point did I recommend this dealer or provide any contact info? All I said was "they" sell this phone for $400 and take PayPal--I didn't say who "they" were. No one even PMed me asking about them, and if they did I wouldn't give the link out unless it was someone I tried myself. I'm sure you will be able to dropship some phones, take it easy.
  7. Nothing. My ex-boss sent me the link, he bought a couple of 8800s from them a while back.
  8. I thought "my" source was the same one used by the OP until he said they require payment by escrow, the dealer I have in mind accepts PayPal. If Sql_pl is willing to act as a go-between and get these for $440 I think that's well worth it to get the exact same phone he has pictured--I hate not knowing quite what I'm going to get.
  9. This has been an interesting week.
  10. I love made-up backronyms! L.A.M.B. =Look At My Butt Female golfers are supposed to be ugly--is no stereotype safe anymore?
  11. Where's your sense of adventure? If I remember correctly the dealer takes PP, so it's not a total shot in the dark. I never ordered one since I assumed the OS would suck, but it looks really nice. I wonder if it's a pirated version of the gen?
  12. I'm not guessing; the model shown is around $400 shipped.
  13. It's really sharp, great choice. It seems a lot thicker than the 8800 though, not very pocketable.
  14. In Bruges had it's moments, it could have gone either way but it didn't stick with me as something I'd ever watch again. Before the Devil Knows You're Dead was a really great film; too bad it was overshadowed by the Oil! movie and the one with the guy from The Goonies.
  15. I can sit through almost any film and find something to like about it, but rather than get all wordy I'll just neatly categorize everything I've seen lately. Some of these might be old, but I just recently got around to watching them: Sucked: Meet Dave, Smart People, Harold and Kumar 2 (it's a great stoner movie, but it sucked), What Happens in Vegas (a long commercial for Vegas named after the Vegas advertising slogan, clever), In Bruges, The Love Guru (sucked hard and long), Wasted (maybe it was OK, but I fell asleep), Leatherheads (it didn't suck, but it didn't rock either), The Wackness, Wanted Rocked: Speed Racer (surprisingly fun), Son of Rambow (mixed reviews but I was in the mood for it), Iron Man, Be Kind Rewind, Forgetting Sara Marshall, MirrorMask (OK this is a few years old, but it was cool), War, Inc. (I watched it twice), Raiders of the Lost Ark: Adaptation (I fell asleep, but it rocked up till then), Wall-E (of course, take your girlfriend) Seen anything great lately, or something awful?
  16. I'm sure you wanted to find out who has the best sub, or where you could buy a watch without getting ripped off, but that doesn't explain why people love this forum so much. Sure there's been some negativity lately, but in case you didn't notice, there's been some crazy positive vibes too. So what do YOU love about RWG?
  17. This thread could be worse.... one of you could be talking about Hyundais and another one could be yelling ATHENS!!!!!!! for no apparent reason, then we could all call each other homos. Who's up for some word association?
  18. It's not a spam site, this is Tonyxkf's website. He sells the same watches for less on Ioffer or Cqout or wherever. It used to be called watch-ebay. The descriptions on seagull and A7750 watches are all wrong; he calls every watch over $200 a "Swiss ETA" or whatever. Plus the prices suck, but if you email him he sells them for normal prices.
  19. Well stated sir. As long as we can bring these kinds of things out in the open, there's no need for the forum to regulate the dealers. The policy of sweeping things under the rug is really disturbing and I'm really glad that hasn't happened here. The rep forums have done so much for the customer just by spreading knowledge--who thinks that watches would be advertised with a "copy ETA movement" if it wasn't for us? The debate about copy movements and the waterproofing scam did hurt profits for certain dealers but they are still here and have many happy customers.
  20. What's the point of asking someone if their watch is real? It IS offensive.
  21. The last earthquake I was sleeping in, it felt exactly like someone was shaking my bed to wake me up. Today, at first it felt just like a really fat guy was stomping by my desk, then the building started swaying on it's rollers. It's hard to get a perspective of how much you are moving, until you look out the window and then it's like being on a boat.
  22. I was on the top floor of our building, and the second wave was very intense. No damage, but we have a HUGE mess to clean up in the lab since the water baths and sonicators sloshed about 100 gallons all over the benchtops and into the drawers and cabinets. We rocked for about 5 minutes, it was kind of fun except for all the people yelling and running around.
  23. A buddy reminded me yesterday that I dropped a gen PAM 213 on a concrete floor at a party, crystal side down. Doh! Can you top that one?
  24. Unless they like to wear men's watches like our missing friend, I don't think any of the reps appeal to younger females. I've been trying for months to find a nice ladies rep that wasn't made for grannies; men's watches were right out since her wrist is tiny. The best I could find was a Hermes double-wrap that is now discontinued in favor of a much bulkier model and a Fendi that Silix wouldn't sell me cause he could never find one that wasn't badly flawed.
