Hello everyone! This is steve from theonewatches. Today, we bring you a detailed comparison of the VS, Clean, AR, and GEN of the GMT Pepsi. We’ve retaken all photos using the latest batches to eliminate discrepancies in bezel colors. Front view VS, Clean, and AR share the same bezel, red is slightly brighter, blue is darker than GEN, but looks better under sunlight and natural light. Bezel view From this set of photos, we could clearly found that the blue bezel of the gen is much lighter, but the red part is similar across all four. Bezel teeth shape view For the bezel teeth shape, the VSF is closer to the Gen in proportion and shape. The teeth from Clean is a little thicker. AR’s a little thinner. (the difference from this point is very slight and hard to notice via the naked eyes) VSF makes the vertical brushed lines inside the gears clearer. Bezel height view From the photos, the pressing height of the bezel is different. The bezel of the Gen is embedded in the fluted bezel. VSF is closer to the Gen in overall effect, while the AR’s bezel sits noticeably higher. The Clean one is slightly raised as well, possibly due to the bezel ring design. Bezel details view VS, Clean and AR all shared the V3 bezel, so it is the same in font and platinum powder filling Bezel lip view At the joint of the ceramic bezel and the steel stainless bezel, VSF bezel lip is closer to the Gen in width. Crystal height & Cyclops view There is no big difference among the three factories, and could do some research yourself if interested in. Markers view In the treatment in the marker, three factories did it very well in beveling and shapes, very closer to the Gen. The maker from VS & AR not fully flush with the dial, but the Clean did the best in this aspect. GMT hand view In terms of the red paint, Gen’s red is lighter. The brightness of red from the three factories varies, with VS's red being slightly brighter than the other two. Axis & Hands view For the axis of the hands, VSF is closer to the Gen in overall style. Gen hands are round and flat, the axis of the hands, hour hand, luminous part and the tail of the second hand are all very standard circles. And the hands all in flat and not chamfered. Overall, the pointer of VS is better. Luminous particles view All three factories perform well, but Gen’s luminous is more refined and even. Calendar font view In terms of date font, VS is closer to the Gen. As it presented in the information of the VS, the magnification is closest to the gen, also better in transparency. Since Gen has 2 AR coating variants, so we’re not comparing the coating color here. Dial printing view For printing treatment, VSF has whiter print, closer to the Gen, also better in terms of the shape of the font and crown. The Gen ink print above the 6 marker is thinner. VSF is the closet to the Gen。Clean and AR fonts are slightly thicker. The ink print below the 6 o'clock position, the opening of the crown and the font thickness of the VS are better. Rehaut view As mentioned in the previous comparison, It is hard to make the font engraving treatment the same as Gen, so will not do the comparison in this. But VS and AR made it more transparent in inner shadow drawing. Crown view VSF mentioned in the factory’s information that when the crown is locked. It will retain some clearance like Gen to prevent the crown from rubbing against the case. The polishing of the crown gear is better on AR and VS. Crown logo view All the three factories do well in crown polishing. Gen has the slim crown fingers. In comparison, the VSF is closer to the Gen in shape and the opening shape of the crown. lugs view For the lugs shape, you guys could do some research for a reference. Case side view The VSF font engraving in the side of watch case is closer to the Gen The shape and the height of the case back VS and Clean do better in terms of the teeth shape in case back But VSF is better in flatness of the case back Bracelet view Clean is closer to the Gen in buckle crown logo. Clean & AR are better sandblasting on the clasp. Buckle engraving view Three factories are different in this, you guys could make some comparison yourself. Movement view VS and Clean both use the DD3285 movement, VR use SH3285 Laser and the Luminous The above photos show the LEC and lume.
