  1. Shaken not stirred. Aka. Not another Bond Thread!!! (Pic. Heavy) Something i threw together on RWI. I thought I might share it here. What is our fascination with this sociopath, misogynistic, alcoholic, emotionally dysfunctional, sickly charming, ruthless killing machine? He might be all these things but the films and the character exude style, taste and there is a little bit in all of us that wants to escape into the fantasy world in which he resides. One really has to question the effectiveness of a secret agent whose preference for alcohol beverages is known to every bartender in every exotic location throughout the world. Anyway, lets re-visit the much written about Bond Watches. Along with Cars and women this is another area where the character displays great taste and style. However, the only thing he really chooses or seduces is the women, we know that Q (not @QueTip) chooses his cars and watches. So, Q is the man. The great thing for Bond, unlike us, is he gets them all for free. So here we go, some but not all of the 007 watches. Hours of research watching and freeze framing went into this thread lol. Joking of course but now since this watch hobby (addiction) has overcome me I cannot watch a Bond film without my finger hovering over the pause button for those minuscule glimpses of 007 arm candy. Rolex 6538. There has been some debate over the years regarding what Rolex Sean Connery wears and the provenance of it. However due to the advent of DVD and Blue Ray it is now fairly obvious. As @Thrasher is tired telling people the Connery sub is a 6538 big crown, with a silver triangle and a 2 line metres first gilt dial. The strap was generally considered to be an admiralty grey nato. We now know it was a black red and green undersized RAF strap. It was also worn on a Black leather strap in Dr. No. and From Russia with love. The RAF strap appeared in Goldfinger. Again, in Thunderball the 6538 tells the time while the Breitling Top Time tells supplies the Geiger counter. My version is the Helenarou Connery Submariner. It is a work of art in my biased opinion. Rolex 5513 An early appearance of the 5513 is displayed by George Lazenby in “On her Majesty’s secret service”. It was made more prominently worn by Roger Moore in “Live and Let Die” and “Diamonds are forever”. It had the buzzsaw bezel in “Live and Let Die” and a handy magnet for disrobing young ladies. Apart from the quirky bezel it has a feet first 2 line dial. The weird thing is when I was searching for images the photos of my watch and rivet bracelets are all over the internet lol so here it is my @JohnnyLazar built “Live and Let Die”.
  2. Hello chaps, just purchased a new omega Seamaster professional 300m in black. I love the watch but the bezel insert is sheeed. I purchase from Ofrei all the time but it looks like they don't have the bezel assembly and insert in stock. Does anyone have any ideas? I have asked around but it looks like Omega are clamping down pretty hard on spares. Thanks
  3. Omega rep?

Hey I couldnt find any recent posts regarding Planet Ocean replicas, so I decided to start a new one. I was looking for PO replica for a long time, and noticed a few strange things. Here are three replicas that I liked most (puretime) 1. https://puretime03.com/planet-ocean-professional-titanium-v6f-11-best-edition-45mm-on-titanium-bracelet-a8500.html 2. https://puretime03.com/planet-ocean-42mm-ultimate-edition-blackwhite-on-ss-bracelet-eta2836.html# 3. https://puretime03.com/planet-ocean-professional-ceramic-bezel-42mm-on-ss-bracelet-a2836.html I'm completely confused with those models. There are so many of them. I had a gen same as number 2, but pearl was exactly as number 1. What's more, the number 2 is different from the one on omega site (https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/seamaster/planet-ocean-600m/omega-co-axial-435-mm/21530442103001/) is it some older model? I really like number 1, for its color and that pearl which reminds me of gen, but is it good enough? Sorry for any mistakes, I'm not very good at omegas.
  4. Hey guys, I'm looking for my gf's first nice watch, we went to a dealer and she tried on the PO, but sadly the 42mm was a bit too big for her. The old 38mm was way to small, but they had a 40mm PO which was perfect. I looked around a bit and didn't find a 40mm PO Rep, is it a new size which has not been made yet? And what are other suggestions for a good 40mm(or 39-41) rep for a girl. What did you buy your wives and gfs? I know the Explorer I or Milgauss would be great but she is not keen on wearing something with a crown. P.S: Laste time I checked a few years ago there were no good Speedmaster Reps out there, has this changed?
  5. Just Purchased my First Rep

Hello all! I'm nervous and excited so I thought I would share haha. Just purchased an Omega '57 replica from Andrew at TrustyTime. I'm been addicted to this watch for quite some time, and I think it's just a beautiful watch that Omega created. For all of those that lurk in the background like me, I'll keep the thread updated with how the process goes. Here's the rep that I purchased... http://www.ttw-1388.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_81&products_id=17683 Hopefully it's a good one.
  6. Omega Moon to Mars

Replica Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 3577.50.00 Bought from http://www.ukswisswatches.org.uk/ watch arrived today , they don't answer emails , the chronograph doesn't work , the movement is a cheap automatic it has hacking and manual wind but not the manual version as advertised . The wording is incorrect on the dial , the back plate is also wrong for this model . I bought it for sizing purposes 42mm . With these issues , I want to warn future buyers to avoid this website . The watch cost £103 with free delivery .
  7. So I've received my Ti CrPO yesterday and I was happy as f... well I was very happy. I've worn it for day and in the evening when I winded I noticed a lot of micro scratches on the crystal, like the scratches on the screen of a smartphone after you wear it in your pocket with your keys for several months. I didn't hit or scratch the watch and the only thing that touched the crystal was the cloth I use to clean my glasses. These scratches are seen only in direct light, so not much of a deal, but still not a pleasant thing. So the question is: Did I receive a watch with a initially scratched crystal (since it can't be seen in the QC pics) ? P.s: I mean it's a Sapphire Crystal, isn't it meant to be scratch resistant? or are these scratches a normal thing ? The scratches are the small lines near the light reflection (no, they can't be wiped out).
  8. Hi all, Fascinated with this forum. It seems to be packed with replica watch experts and the details and info is incredible. I'm pretty new to replica watch collecting, but I would love to get this particular watch. An omega planet ocean GMT. Could someone please tell me where I could get a very good model of it, how much roughly it should cost and what exactly (other than the price) is the difference between it and the original. If you're a seller, would you please show me images of the actual watch I will receive, can I pay by paypal and how much it'll be to send to Ireland. I know they're all novice questions, I did have a quick search of the site but no one really covered it to the extent I want. This is the exact watch I would like, I don't know the model number other than "planet ocean gmt" Thank you James
  9. I've recently fell in love with the Omega planet ocean chronograph, but sadly the genuine is way beyond the size of my wallet. I've lost the last 3 days searching for a perfect replica, but it seems like there isn't such a thing, it's either a faux chronograph or the lume is garbage or the dials have the wrong size. Maybe my searching skills are poor or I missed something, but does anyone own or have ever met a perfect replica to this watch, with fully working chronograph and which looks like the genuine one? I've also read that the 7750 movement will fail if I use the chronograph option often... well is like 20 times a week often or where is the edge between often and not often for this movement ? In case those are some noob questions, I'm sorry, but I'm still a noob and thanks in advance for help.
  10. Need Pro advice

I really need help. I am going to buy an omega 42m Planet ocean and Would like to ask two things Movement;Asian 2836 automatic or Japanese MIYOTA 8215 is better? Production; Noob or V6F? http://puretime02.com/special-offers/planet-ocean-professional-ceramicorange-bezel-42mm-11-noob-best-edition-on-ss-bracelet-a2836.html http://puretime02.com/planet-ocean-professional-ceramic-bezel-orange-markers-42mm-v6f-1-1-best-edition-on-black-rubber-strap-a8500.html# Thank you in advance
  11. Hi all, I can't figure out where in this forum you're meant to source a watch so I just thought I'd ask. Has anyone got this Omega GMT or can you tell me know someone who has it please, how much I should pay or what the difference between asian movement is? I'm a total newby, please help me out Thank you, James
  12. Hi there fellow collectors and watch lovers! Thank you for the chance to be a part of this great community!!! Collecting vintage watches and reps since ever. So I really remember the times when I bought my first reps in the 90s ... oh my, compared to todays great pieces I can say, they really changed a LOT for the better :-) My favourite brands are AP, PP & Rolex Especially vintage style reps and modded reps with a special creative touch I like a lot. Hope to get more inspiration, ideas and knowlege here in future to work more on my planned rep mod projects. (hope to have also enough time off my job for that ....:-) Have a great time! Elias
  13. I have two Omega's and two Rolexes. I've inherited them from my father who passed away eight years ago. As I've lost my job I won't be able to cover next months rent and will be forced to sell one watch. Need to know what they're worth in £? Both are Seamasters and one is from 50s or 60s I believe. Blue Seamaster Automatic: Crown doesn't move/turn The seconds dial works only for 30min after shaking Has my fathers whole name engraved on the back Strap in great shape Cream Seamaster: Crown works, sets time and winds Once wound-up the watch works for 30min only Not sure if the strap is original Has small dots on the watch face which appear to be part of the design since they are perfectly contained within its inner circle Says Waterproof on the back Has a scratch between the 1am/pm and 2am/pm positions
  14. Hey fellas just received my Noob LMPO and I'm in awe! This is hands down the best Omega rep I have seen in my plus 20 years in the rep game!It surpasses BP CrPO in fit, finish, weight, AR, crown tube assembly, bezel, insert, dial, pear placement, etc and is on point with the gen. I'm very impressed at what noob has done despite the initial batch with the poor dials. The only cons I would say is sizing the band is a bear! The pins are super tight and I recommend taking it to a professional jeweler unless you have an hour or two to spare, patience, and a very good watch repair kit. Also the divers extension could be tighter and does come loose occasionally. Overall this watch is a go and the best Omega rep out there to date! I opted for the Asian ETA although Swiss is available as well from Puretime. Highly recommend pick one up. Enjoy to the max!
  15. Gentlemen I really enjoy the Planet Ocean rep's but I find the Cal,8500 to be lacking just a couple of things (Puretime used as example) Blued screws and a black balance wheel, and a better balance bridge. Does anyone have any experience modding these? Are the parts available? I think it would really take the watch to the next level. Or...conversely, is there a better version of the rep movement?
  16. SPECTRE premieres in the UK tomorrow October 26th and November 6th here in the USA, I thought it might be fun to post up which watch you wore to the premiere Omega? Rolex? or other? A sort of "Which watch.." with a twist (shaken, not stirred).
  17. A little bit of whimsy mixed with an equal part of history yields the 2015 Omega Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award Limited Edition. This model is quartz and wears a little larger than the 43.5mm of the Gen, but it is all about the smiles it generates both from the wearer and those that take the time to notice... sadly the weakest part is the lume, I was hoping for a much brighter snoopy.
  18. Hi Guys, just found this auction on Ebay for a (stated) original vintage Omega 120 Divers from 1960. Don't know much about this model, never happened to see one in the flesh so any help will be highly appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance for your help! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1960s-Vintage-Omega-120-Divers-Watch-31mm/131648237576?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D9d524d5ade3343d781d5f7f2a47e184f%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D131648237576
  19. My Collection at the moment

This is my collection at this very moment. Some of these are from the a previous raffle that I was lucky enough to win. Thanks Mike on a bike btw. I also have couple cheapies I'm about to sell that didn't make it into the pics, but they will be gone soon. Omega Railmaster XXL Omega 300 Master Co-Axial IWC PIlot Chrono 3717 Vac Lumed IWC Portuguese Ardoise Rolex DSSD AP T3 Titanium Bell & Ross BR-126 Heritage w/ gen strap Tag Heuer Monaco Rose Gold Hublot Big Bang Rose Gold Tudor Pelagos
  20. Why? I have been watching the dealers closely for weeks now, hoping for the new Omega 300 SPECTRE Limited Edition. Instead they have produced the Aqua Terra James Bond 15,007 G in multiple colors and I'm trying to figure out, Why? the Omega Edition is a blue face with yellow accents. The dealers (PT, TT, KW) began offering that model months ago... but just this week it has been released in 'all new' white face, grey face, black face on black leather, brown leather, SS or seemingly any mix of the above... even the bumble bee 15,000 G seconds hand has reappeared on some models. I do realize the adage is 'different strokes...' but do people really line up to buy a LE watch that is obviously by color, etc. incorrect? or, maybe it's just me.
  21. I am looking at this auction on ebay. Do you think it is a gen or fake? I know the bracelet is not original. Attached are the pics and the quote from the seller. What are your thoughts? NASA Moon watch. Found at estate sale. Slight scratches on wrist band, Crystal is not broken but has some very small scratches. Keeps time, but stop watch doesn't work. I'm selling this watch as is. I can't confirm it's authenticity. Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 3577.50.000
  22. My Collection so far

So I've been here for quite a while now and I thought it was about time I did my show & tell for the class those of you that know me or have dealt with me know I have a particular weakness for dive watches and lately that has gone off a touch and I've bought a couple dress watches just for a change, I joined here and had no interest in Rolex or Tudor neither brand did much for me...........boy how times change! Tried to give a little info on each piece I have so bear with me if I go on a bit First up is my Super Ocean Steelfish from Sead late last year, A2836 movement on mesh, fantastic Ar on this one and wears nice Next is a new one this week, Frederique Constant Peking to Paris Chrono Loved the look of this piece since I tried it on at the AD last year but here in Oz the rrp meant it was way over priced imo, so after searching around on and off for the last 9 mths I eventually found one brand new with box etc and snapped it up, thanks to a certain member who knows who he is getting it here was swift and pain free too it's one of 1888 made and is what I consider to be a great value Gen piece! Gotta love that caseback The Jlc Navy Diver is one of my favorite pieces, I bought this from a m2m sale here, it has the A2824 movement and I have it on donerix Black Shark at the mo which is really comfy.....if your thinking of getting one of these don't hesitate they are fantastic Seamaster Pro, the watch that brought me to RwG looking around to make sure I didn't buy a rep online made me look up the tells on here and after a couple weeks I found this Omega Smp for sale, it was one of 2 Smp's I picked up in the same week or so, kept the quartz as I preferred the look of the dial and sold the 2220 on (silly boy) can't buy one for reasonable money now! Love the red seamaster writing and the dial is just fantastic looking, would love to AR the crystal at some stage Planet Ocean Ceramic, had a couple of these now in both sizes, amazing quality and my only niggle is with the 42mm date window, it just looks unfinished..... easier to rep though and I will def get the orange 42 when it settles down a bit, they are such a great piece! The Orient Mako XL wasn't on my wishlist until a short time ago, I was half pissed and looking at some nice wrist shots from other members and this one caught my eye......you know how the rest goes.......cracking piece mind and yes it gets plenty of wrist time too, great value for money piece and waterproof too Pam029, I got this one from Andrew early last year, it has the Asian movement and has kept decent time since, awesome looking dial and great presence on the wrist always gets other people's attention I have it on a Gen black leather strap most of the time but recently got this Asso strap off the bay cheap as chips, oiled it and that's it Mbw Patek Nautilus I picked up recently on here from a great member, it's got the swiss movement and importantly for me the closed caseback love the dial because it changes so much when you wear it from blue to grey to black fantastic Rolex Mbw GwsD, this one came from a really nice guy on here and has had a few mods in it's time, it's the old style case set with reworked cg's, Gen Crown/tube,insert/pearl,crystal great looking piece and probably gets less wrist time than it deserves My first modded watch and one that J built for me out of nothing really, picked up a cheap movement on the bay and a case from one of the guys here sent that to him and he sent this back been a beater for me ever since Tc Sub is really one of my first expensive reps that I was lucky enough to buy, at the same time one of our members came up with a gen insert for me and voila a rep that is imo 98% of the gen all day long! Hasn't missed a beat since I bought it and gets out of the box regularly, love it if you only buy one sub rep make sure it's this one ! My blue Ceramic, what a great looking piece this one is, I got this one from member sale here it has the Sa3135 clone movement in it and had a dial swap from the std Angus to BK dial done by Dom, cracking piece and the clasp is first rate too.. Gmt's gotta love em I reckon this is my fourth one so far, first one went south immediately from Trevor the hands were touching the crystal and scratched the crap out of it, picked up another and then sold it as I picked up this modded one from over on Rwi, if you ever think your parcel is lost in transit think again (at least for a while) this one took 3 months to get to me! So long in fact that I forgot I had it and only took a pic in the group shot had a full relume by strodda including the bezel and it's great ! did I mention I started off with no interest in Rolex or Tudor ........... So this Tudor sub was bought from a member here, it came modded already started with a 5512 donor then had a 2770 movement put in along with Gen service dial and yuki hand set, I added a Gen crystal and Gen crown to finish it off, love it and it just looks right now with the crystal swap Tudor Snowflake, my first build from scratch and one that I couldn't have attempted without the help of some of the members here, I gained a heap of experience doing this one and boy it was fun getting the piece to where it is atm started off with a PC 5513 donor, put in a 2846 movement along with a dial from the bay, correct hands came from J, Clark T19 crystal, Gen 703 crown (so needs a 702) tube from J, was all put together and vintagised (is that a word) by J who drilled the lugholes for gen bars and engraved the caseback, put it on 580 endlinks which fit perfect and a tc v2 clasp and she's good to go, love the piece but not sure as yet if I like the vintage lume.....we'll see eh! Tudor Heritage Qtz was picked up recently on a m2m sale next door from fana05 who I must say looked after this one brilliantly, it's one of my cheaper buys but bloody hell it's an awesome piece, if you can lay your hands on one of these grab it, you will love it I missed this 9411 the first time it was for sale and was gutted, luckily the member who bought it gave me another crack at buying it and I'm so glad he did from what I gather it's a phong case set, Yuki dial and hand set, Gen crown/tube, crystal, Gen insert with Yuki pearl Gen movement and Gen spring bars, the bracelet it came with looks like a mix of Gen and rep but is way too small for my wrists! I bought a Gen clasp for it I'm just looking now for some 501 endlinks (gen prfd if you have any pm me) beaut piece and dare I say a keeper Mbw Tudor no date build was underway when I got the one above so I carried on with it mainly because I liked the look of the black dial without the date, it's a newer 5512 case set with a swiss 2836 movement, Yuki dial and hands set and a Gen crystal which makes the dial look awesome, the bezel on this one is really fat and gives it a different look from what I have already, not sure why that is but perhaps someone can enlighten me I'm trying to find a Gen blue insert for it atm to get the look I'm after (first pic) wish me luck ! Steinhart Ocean Vintage Gmt, with the 2893-2 movement a beaut piece that I wear quite regular, it's really comfy and even though I'm used to smaller watches it feels right on the wrist, great brand and excellent value for money the lume is amazing too Tag 500M I bought from Angus has been modded by Vac with cyclops removal, double AR and a full relume, waterproofed to 7atm drove me half way to mad waiting for it to be modded but bloody hell was well worth the wait time, the lume job is spot on and screams Gen, that along with the double AR makes this a keeper and regular on the wrist, love it Borrowed lume shots by jkay (takes much better pics than me ) Tissot PRS516, this watch is so understated it's not funny has a great quality feel to it and exudes class with the fuss free dial, I can wear this with anything and go diving too Few group shots.............are you bored yet I must say a big thank you to all the members on Rwg both past and present who have helped me along the way since I became a regular here, their contributions to the forum have been a godsend for me a special thanks to Jmb for putting up with me and building some great pieces, to woof to for holding my hand through my builds and generally being a great guy and to everyone else who I know especially Mike who keeps me from myself buying too many watches it really is a great forum and it's a pleasure to be here. I hope you enjoyed a look into my watch collection and hope it helps you make some choices for yourself further down the line
  23. My first watch - OMEGA

I am just a newbie in the forum but intrested in enjoying watches that may be a part of life resently. When I went to a large shopping mall first, and caught sight of a Omega watch,i was fascinated by her functions and structures thoroughly. Then i bought one undoubtedly.According to the forum i hope to make more friends with people who also have the same hobby about watches.
  24. Remove links on Omega Ladymatic

Hi all I've bought an Omega Ladymatic from Andrew and Trustytime for my missus. Its a lovely watch but I'm having problems removing some links. I also bought a PO from Trustytime which has small screws on the links which can be removed with a tiny screwdriver to reveal the links - piece of cake to adjust. The ladymatic has screws but they appear to be for show as the just turn in either direction and don't come out. I've tried to push them out with a pin removing tool but they don't move (just bent the tool!) Can anyone help? I'm considering taking it to a jeweller (I'm in the UK) but I'm a but concerned how they may view a rep. Clearly I'm not going to take it to a high street shop that sells gens but are independent places ok - any views? Many thanks!
