czammett
here's a bit of a naff pic of my pam 111h (next to my new pam 111 PVD which I'm waiting for a red12 strap for) After having it a while, the crown pin and lever have started to irritate me a little. The pin sits too high and the lever is not flush on the the crown guard. I've read around a little and the pin mod seems reasonably easy - punch/push it out, file/sand a little off, put back in. Has anyone modded the lever themselves and had any luck? I've got access to quite a skilled metalworker in my brother who could possibly be of use if specialist tools are needed. tanya
If you have a skilled metal worker then all he need to do is push out the pin a hair, flatten and mirror polish it and then tap it back in clean and flush. Should be simple for a metal worker with tools. I always use a dremel as do many fellow RWGers
silverspeed
Dremel works wonders...and a bit of practice
czammett
do you use a dremel on the crown guard lever as well? Is it reasonably easy or pretty difficult to keep the smooth line of the lever?
