how to remove a mesh from an Omega PO steel strap?

I just buy an Omega Planet Ocean 42mm, it's an excellent watch

but i want to remove a mesh from the steel strap... my wrist is not so big

Can you help me?

there's any suggestion how to do or photo/video, it would be better
