Shutter Island or Brooklyn's Finest I haven't seen (or heard of) Brooklyn's Finest. I thought Shutter Island was good if not a little formulaic. I think DiCaprio is a good actor and well cast but having seen too many movies in this genre, I was not as surprised as I would have liked to have been. redwatch Posted March 6, 2010 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 Why not go by yourself. You get to see what YOU want, and it's not as though you can have a nice conversation during the movie. Even when i go with my fiancee, once the movie starts, we are both quite involved in our own experience of the movie. That being said, it's nice to talk about it afterwards.
