hotbody77
my dssd v5 has a little gap ( max. 0,5 - 0,75mm, but even not close!) between the bezel and the case. overall i´m really impressed and happy with this watch, but the gap is disturbing me. any ideas how i could fix this "little" problem? when i press on the bezel it will sit perfect on the case! AllergyDoc
It has to be removed and reglued. I've done this on a standard Rolex but not a DS.
hotbody77
are you speaking of the bezel insert or the whole bezel? I Edited June 8, 2010 by hotbody77
scotty
For the bezel no you can't remove and glue. And the DSSD bezel seems a bugger to get off. I've tried and can't do it... I think the Doc was talking about the insert only. That does look to be too big a gap. Sorry - I'm not a modder so can't offer advice on what can be done. hotbody77
No ideas how i Can remove The entire bezel To fix this little gap? Pros where Are you?
AllergyDoc
I know it can be done because dealers sell the upgraded "correct 10" bezel insert for upgrading. PM member "ThinkBachs". He seems to know a lot about these DS reps.
scotty
I read that where the dealers update the watch with the corrct bezel insert, they remove the bezel, disassemble, and machine the inner edge of the bezel where the insert sits. Where others have modded to fit the corrected insert, they've simply removed the insert, sanded down the correct one, and re-glued. For fixing the gap you have, means removing the bezel assembly and seeing what's wrong. From there if a fix is possible. So...............any bezel experts out there that can comment for fixing this?
