About to buy a Navitimer Chrono. Anything I should take care of? Help me!

Hey Guys, I am about to get a Navitimer Chronometer. Now I have searched the net and found some nice pieces from trusty watch guy:

• Which Navitimers did actually exist and which are fantasy-designs?
  
• Will the Gold look like real gold, or would you recommend a steel only watch
  
• Which of the Navitimers would you personally take?
  
• Any common flaws/glitches that might need some modding? What should I look at when purchasing a Navitimer?

have you read Andrew's guide on Navi's? It answers most of your questions.

As to what gen version there are, well there are a ton. do a web search for gen Breitling forums, they frequently have pics, like this one: http://www.breitlingsource.com/breitling_model_categories.shtml
