spineguy Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Newbie here but has caught the bug. JUst ordered a Rolex from BK and want to complete (or so i think) my collection with a resonably priced planet ocean. At this time, an ultimate is too far of a reach for me. Looking for something under $200. I know where to go to get super high quality, but what I would like to ask (be nice) is suggestions on where to find a good (not great) watch for that price. easy to get the best, harder to find the "good" for budget in this case. thanks in advance

He offers reasonable Planet Ocean's, both the big 45.5 (same as UPO) and the slightly smaller 42 mm versions. His price is
spineguy Posted September 27, 2010 Author Report Posted September 27, 2010 Nervous about that movement... is the extra to get ETA worth it? looking for a leather or rubber band to to dress down the PO. thanks
Furu Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Nervous about that movement... is the extra to get ETA worth it? looking for a leather or rubber band to to dress down the PO. thanks Thats up to you, if you really want a good Planet Ocean with Swiss ETA. Wait until you're ready to buy a UPO. Or why not the upcoming 42 mm Planet Ocean (that has been upcoming forever...). My experience is that when you buy cheaper reps as substitutes for the ones you really want, that is a waste of money. I don't think there is a offering with this one and ETA, sorry. Surely Swiss ETA is much better than the A21j, especially in the feeling you get when changing the time etcetera. But I've got a perfectly good A21j rep bought from Narikaa/Reg. Keeps good time and works like a charm. And i don't think you will get much more bang for the buck than this deal! So if the Planet Ocean ain't on your list of dream replicas, this is a good rep. If it is the one you will take to work everyday, your beater - save up for a UPO or the new 42 mm version. My beater is the UPO currently on bracelet, but rubber is awesome. Maybe the 240 grams of weight will do some work on my forearms Regards /Furu
