a german in denmark Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Hi, any idea as to where I can get a hole punching tool that makes longish/oval holes into my straps? The ones I see around (ofrei, watchband.de...) only seem to make round holes.
mikellem Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 I have only seen round ones. You can purchase the round tube type, and make it oval yourself!
a german in denmark Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 I know that, but I have been working with leather for decades and I'm a bloody perfectionist. Stretching round holes wide just doesn't make it for me I have only seen round ones. You can purchase the round tube type, and make it oval yourself!
Watchmeister Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 I have also noticed someone is selling them on ebay and describing them as purposefully for Panerai straps. You will have to search under Panerai though as I don't remember the listing.
a german in denmark Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 Thanks kruzer00, I think buzz's link above is the dealer you refere to. I have found something else, here in Denmark (of all places, and me having worked wit leather for ages, haw haw haw ). They have Blanchard oval punches for 18,65 EUR + VAT. Here's the link: http://www.laederiet.dk/Produkter/vistyper...d=24&Uid=72 I would have liked a punch tong, though..... I have also noticed someone is selling them on ebay and describing them as purposefully for Panerai straps. You will have to search under Panerai though as I don't remember the listing.
