MLAM
Hi all, I'm quite new to the replica scene but I have been trawling through many posts over the last few days and I saw one post referring to the End Links (Where the bracelet connects to the watch) are a bit flat compared to a Gen on the Tag Carrera Chrono Racing Edition. I've attached a picture with the red circle highlighting the area, The reason I ask is I'm sure I saw someone post it on a Carrera thread on here but I cannot find that post again anywhere. They suggested to get genuine ones like this as it's meant to make the watch look more like the gen. Can anyone clarify that for me please? I'm looking to order one of those watches soon, just finding the right dealer Thanks all.
nikki6
I have the Tachy racing the same as the one you're talking about and the endlinks are perfect! Tag and Breitling are probably 2 of the best brands for bracelets and endlinks. Especially the Tags, no idea who wrote that, but they dead wrong! doctor evil
I actually just received the watch before finding this thread and this was the first thing that disappointed me. I hadn't tried the gen on before, but it does seem to me there is a big ugly gap in between the end link and first link. Is this normal? Rolex oyster (GMTIIc) for comparison:
doctor evil
LOL, nevermind. Once I removed the plastic the links sat much better although the endlink transition is still not as smooth as the oyster bracelet.
Jklfafa
Although the gap sits ugly the overall design of the endlink helps to hide the thickness of the watch by adding somewhat of a step down. Or maybe it is just my opinion.
