Looking for Conversion of AP RO Chrono (NOT Offshore) to strap

Hi All

I have had a AP RO Chrono (non Offshore) which I would like to convert into a strap but I find the "AP BAND" pricing far too much (USD$399) for just the conversion kit alone.

I have read here that there are alternatives but I am unable to find out where to find them online. If you have any information as to the alternatives, I will be very grateful.

If there are recommendations as to quality by comparison as well, that too will be useful. I am hoping to get a tan or deep brown strap to go with the watch.
