dylan Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 I've been debating this with a forum friend. I claim the bezel screws should be slightly recessed/sunken. He claims every gen he's had in his hand, the bezel screws are flush with the bezel? who's correct?
HauteHippie Posted October 4, 2011 Author Report Posted October 4, 2011 I think the screw heads are slightly different between the rep and gen... The rep screw heads are flat, while the gen screw heads have a very slight curvature. So maybe you're both correct.

So the gen is slightly recessed with the curvature being flush with the bezel. Hmmm...I need to take a different approach to QC pics then. I've been religiously choosing ones with bezel screws slightly sunken

If there is a rubber o-ring under the screw head, then the amount of sunken-ness (to coin a new term) probably depends on how much they're tightened down. I.e. if you loosen slightly, they might go from recessed to flush. Also, a nice anal retentive mod might be to slightly round over the screw heads and re-polish. For me, I don't care.
mjmj Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Thank you for this great information. I personally, enjoy my APROOs with a relume and service to the movements.
