Dirty mainspring

After ultrasonic cleaning and rinse It is time to grease the walls of the clean barrel and instal;l the clean mainspring....how we do it....

I use my Bergeon mainspring winder tool. This will keep the mainspring clean. Some people do it by hand but this method will leave skin residue and skin oil on the barrel and mainspring.

Here is how I do it.

I have one tool for each caliber....7750/53 6497/98 28xx
