Monaco Ls Questions

I have the black dialed version of the Monaco LS on the adjustable bracelet. Here are a few observations:

  • the microadjustable bracelet works very well.
  • the watch is VERY thick and heavy - and I have the Flying B chronograph, the T3, etc. I would rank the Monaco LS as the heaviest watch I own and I have 80 plus watches.
  • an OEM strap cannot be used. The OEM uses a 22mm strap and the Monaco LS uses a 24mm strap.
  • the glass has a substantial amount of glare, there is no AR whatsoever.
  • the dial is missing some of the red wording around the outside.

It may sound like I don't like the watch but this is not true. Despite its flaws it is a very nice watch and once you have tried the microadjustment feature you will wonder why every watch does not have this wonderful feature. I do not wear the watch that much as it is VERY HEAVY and it feels like a brick on your wrist and I am always conscious of it being on my wrist (unlike Panerai, Roger Dubuis, etc whcih are large watches but not square and as heavy). But I am still glad I own it.
