Moto design
Hello rwg users, I am a relative noob (I own a few breitlings) and I'm interested in expanding my rep horizons with my first rolex. after digging around the forum and the online stores I've decided to make it the black ceramic sub. Its a classy great looking diving watch (I find the deepsea bulky) and the ceramic version adds some extra flash to the package. A long search on josh\pc resolted in these 3 final candidates: http://www.1-pc8838....836-p-5012.html http://www.1-pc8838....ial-p-7851.html http://www.1-pc8838....36-p-10611.html my questions are the following: 1: is the differnce between the versions only in the movenents? 2: is the price differnce justified? 3:how close to the gen is the expensive one? 4:do the cheap movements have reliebility issues? Thank you and god bless. Edited April 8, 2012 by Moto design
APguy1
here are the answers to your questions 1.there are some slight differences but in my opinion i would chose the first one as it is SWISS ETA, that is the closest thing to reliability to the gen. the movement dosent look a thing like the gen but you'll never see that so you don't need to worry. 2. SWISS ETA is expensive because it is swiss (top quality) and the clones and asian copies are un reliable and wont last in the long term 3. the gen is quite different in these ways : claps hands lugs text on bezel and accuracy they are the most noticeable things 4.the cheep ones are made of cheep materials and are not reliable at all i once has a SWIS ETA asian copy and trust me it lost 10-12 mins a day it was hopeless so chose the SWISS ETA or have a look ant these links: http://www.timeshops...asian-3135.html http://www.timeshops...s-eta-2836.html happy to help mate ! here is a gen comparison also look on bklm's page he offers some of the best rolexes out there Edited April 10, 2012 by zenman63
