FDG
Is this movement any good? What is it? I believe it dates back to 1930. It has seconds @
PhilFree
Pioneer was produced by Gunziner Gebruder AG, Welschenrohr, Cormoret, Neuchatel, Switzerland. The Pioneer model was imported to the US by Henry Ginnel & Co, New York. Unfortunately, I can't tell you more than that. I have a couple of Pioneer pocket watches. With a little love they run as well as the day they were made. I am surprised that the movement is adjusted for 5 positions. Whether it's a good movement depends on the condition. From what I see this one is in pretty good shape. I don't see any rust spots on the movement itself.
FDG
Thanks for the info! It is indeed keeping time very accurately and running like a champ. Are they worth anything? It is inside a solid 925 silver watch for a Scottish army officer. Radiomir style case.
PhilFree
No they aren't worth much, unless you find someone who collects Pioneers. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
