PhilFree Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Pioneer was produced by Gunziner Gebruder AG, Welschenrohr, Cormoret, Neuchatel, Switzerland. The Pioneer model was imported to the US by Henry Ginnel & Co, New York. Unfortunately, I can't tell you more than that. I have a couple of Pioneer pocket watches. With a little love they run as well as the day they were made. I am surprised that the movement is adjusted for 5 positions. Whether it's a good movement depends on the condition. From what I see this one is in pretty good shape. I don't see any rust spots on the movement itself.
FDG Posted April 10, 2012 Author Report Posted April 10, 2012 Thanks for the info! It is indeed keeping time very accurately and running like a champ. Are they worth anything? It is inside a solid 925 silver watch for a Scottish army officer. Radiomir style case.
