Cartier Santos - crown issue

Hi! I have an "Ultimate" Cartier Santos 100 ( non-chrono), and here's my problem: the crown is not flush with the case, there is a tiny space between them ( ~0.5mm). Is there an easy fix for this? Is shortening the stem an option/solution? Thank you in advance.
