mellons
here is an interim build- while doing a 399 i got the incorrect caseback, a thick athaya one, which gave me the idea for a "thick" 6152 no CG build. The case shape i liked was the one in the link below (malai watch sold), but with the display back. Interesting thing about this gen was that the bezel looked similar to the one on a 6152/1 CG model. silix 6154 case can get close but there will always be differences to gen given lack of material in some areas. Buld is temporary to see how it looks on (and tolerances etc) so will need to put in gaskets and correct dial 100%. Not sure about hands- kinda like the newness of them with the dial. LOL after doing this one (particularly the back) I have had another go at the 399/6154 case again....(does this ever end) the ingredients are as follows: silix 6154 case (crown tube threaded by necky and case reshaped by me) necky compression-fit lug bars necky solid plexy (reshaped) one-piece standard jackson 6152/1 bezel athaya thick engraved display back athaya brevet crown molnija 3601 with cortebert ratchet wheel and secs pin removed (thanks michael) nightwatch movement ring southy cream dial athaya high-collar hands case reference pics: http://www.9maiali.com/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=137&products_id=1754 casework: caseback with movement shot (apologies bad pic) face (apologies bad pics)
