cc33
You can put gen hands dial, and crystal because they will all fit. I personally think there's nothing wrong with the case. It doesn't look too sharp, but that's just from the pics.. phong's cases are usually finished pretty well, you can send it to zig or someone else to soften the case if you want, even phong would do that for you. modelizer
great, where can i find original hands? Only place I can think of is VRM. Better start saving up because if these rare birds should show up they certainly won't be cheap..

Watchmeister
Wouldn't the dial be thousands of dollars? I thought this was a $15-$20k watch. The one thing i have noticed is that gen dials price up amazingly high and corresponding to the increase in the value from that dial. For instance difference in price between Red Sub and vintage white sub is $3-4k and the dial correspondingly costs approximately $3k. That has always been the major weakness in frankens of more valuable Rolex dials. Who would buy the dial when you can pick up the whole watch for $1000 more. cc33
Zigmeister is one of the trusted guys who can service and do pretty much anything you need done. He's in Canada, but depending on your location there are others, spinmaster in Singapore for example does really nice work. You can also check in here to find what you need this is like vrf, trusted sellers selling gen vintage parts. http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/ You can contact those guys by sending them a pm, look them up in the list of members.. cc33
Yes you make a lot of sense, but imo I can sell my gen dials for the same if not more than I paid. There will always be a market for them. So yes they cost a lot but it would be very rare to lose money buying one.
