mellons
Fiddy Reloaded! This one started some time ago (twice)- I sold on a case set I had assembled over some time a while back and almost instantly regretted it; then spent the past few months trying to assemble the same parts again! The case set had all THE old school goodness- necky modded case (reshaped), solid plexi, oakabum cg and tube etc. After I got the oakabum engraved CG this time round I decided to go a bit more decorative on this one- engraved display back etc. The ingredients for this one are as follows: reshaped old jackson case drilled to accept crown tube and compression-fit lug bars Necky engraved lugs Necky cg mod (with larger screws) Oakabum brev-ital cg Oakabum spring-loaded crown and brass tube Necky solid plexi Nightwatch brass movement ring Nightwatch OPB Engraved caseback with dome plexi Southy 4 liner with secs River aged hands swiss undecorated 6497 with high cp Shown is a progress shot of case with cg- Necky's engraving work is so nice and today being sunny (does not happen often) I thought I might be able to capture the subtle lug engravings with my point-and-shoot. The necky cg screw mod is just awesome: this should be a rule of any fiddy build to send off and get case tapped for proper cg screws!
