rickdangerous
I want to take the plunge and order my first 47mm PAM. I'm eyeing Noob's 127 and 217. When I search the forum for threads regarding these models I tend to find a lot of topics regarding crystals exploding/cracking out for no apparent reason. Does this issue affect all 47mm PAMs? Is it that widespread? I don't feel comfortable investing 360 USD in a rep that will self destruct when you least expect it… Should we avoid the current generation 47mm PAM reps? Watchmeister
I hadn't seen anyone mention exploding crystals on the Noob versions. They are using thicker crystals than predecessor versions and they are made out of sapphire rather than mineral glass.
