Need strap help for Big Pilot for very large wrists..10"

So i want to get my dad a BP as a gift, however the trouble is he's a very large man and his wrists have to be around 10". I don't want to figure out his size exactly because then he'll know i'm getting him some kind of watch as a gift. As a reference, my wrists are about 7.75" are so and i tried on his Tag this recent easter sunday and i think i would have had to remove 4-5 links to make it fit mine...so yeah big wrists. 

 

What size strap do you think i'll need to find/order for him? Will i not be able to get something with the normal deployment clasp or will i have to go tang/buckle because of his size?

Yeah, he's like 6' 350 and overweight obviously but back in the day he worked in the Chicago meatpacking industry. Him and my uncle were very large strong guys haha.
